1 1 Warni ngs and Precautions Thank you for purchasing the HG52 3a Home Gateway (hereinafter referred to as the HG52 3a). T o use the device properly and safely, read these warnings and precautions carefully and strictly observe them during operation.

5 If the wireless network function is used on the HG523a for the network access, you do not need to connect the network cable. 2.2 Getting Started To power on the HG52 3a , press the ON/OFF button on the side of the HG52 3a.
6 3. Select Enable check box for WAN connection . 4. Enter the VPI and VCI that are provided by the ne twork operator in the VPI / VCI text boxes. 5. Select I nternet from the Service list . 6. Select PPPoE o ption button for Connection type . 7. Select Enable check box for NAT .
7 8. Enter the user name and password provided by th e network operator and used for the dial - up connection, and then click Next . 9. Select Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop , and then click Finish . An icon for the dial-up connection is displayed on the desktop of your computer.
8 Step 3 Enable the WPS negotiation function of the wireless network adapter on your PC within two minutes, and then wait for a moment (typically 10s and at m ost 120s). The WPS indicator of the HG523a becomes on from the blinkin g state, indicating tha t the HG523a is connected to your PC through the WLAN.

10 5 Configuring the HG 523a 5.1 Changing the Admin istrator Password Used for Logging In to t he Web - Based Configuration Utility For safety reasons or to make the password easy to remem ber, you can change the administrator password for login after logging in to the Web -based configuration utility.
