28 Getting Started 1.15 Using the Z oom Bar The Zoom bar locat ed below the touch screen is a handy zoom contr ol that is unique on your phone. When you are viewing a W eb page in the W eb browser or a photo in A lbum, you can zoom in or out by sliding y our finger across the Zoom bar .
Chapt er 2 Using Phone F eatur es 2.1 Seamless Switching of N etworks Y our HTC Imagio™ Global Phone allows y ou to roam outside of your CDM A network by accommodating a GSM SIM card. Y our phone has a SIM card pre -installed and is set to Global mode by default .
30 Using Phone F eatures T o call a number or contac t, do one of the f ollowing: T ap the desired phone number or contact from the list. T o call a different phone number associated with the contact, touch the con tact card icon at the right side of the contact name.

Using Phone F eatures 37 2.8 Using the HT C I magio™ as a GSM Phone Y our wireless phone is set to Global mode by default enabling you to r oam internationally on GSM networks. Y ou can manually change the phone to GSM/UMTS only or CDMA only mode. See “GSM settings” and “CDMA Phone Settings” in this chapter for details.
38 Using Phone F eatures Adding c ontacts Y our phone lets you create phone contacts or SIM contacts if you hav e a SIM card installed. Y ou can add SIM contacts via the Contacts screen, or by using SIM Manager . The following e xplains how to add contacts in the Contacts screen.
Using Phone F eatures 39 T o swap between two calls Y our phone notifies you when you have another incoming call , and gives you the option of r ejecting or accepting the call. If you ar e already on a call and accept the new call , you can choose to switch between the two callers.
40 Using Phone F eatures T o manage three -wa y calls While a three-way call is in progr ess, you can do an y of the following: T ap Flash to put the three-way call on hold and make another call. Receive another call. T ap Menu > Private , select one of the participants, and tap Privat e to split the three-way call into separate calls again.

Chapt er 3 Using the H ome Screen 3.1 What’ s on the Home Screen The Home screen of y our phone allows finger-touch acc ess to the most widely-used functions, such as People , Messages, Mail, W eather , Internet, and more.

48 Using the Home Screen T o add favorit e contacts Y ou can add up to 15 favorite contacts on the My F av orites tab . On the My F avorites tab , touch the small plus icon ( ) on the right, or touch Add F avorite . On the Select a Contact screen, touch the name of the desired contact.

Using the Home Screen 55 Checking and reading email messages The icon on the Email tab and the respective ic ons of your email accounts show the number of newly r eceived or unread email messages. Select an email account and then swipe y our finger up or down on the center screen to br owse through rec eived email messages.
56 Using the Home Screen The Photos and Videos tab displays pictures and video files from the curr ent favorite album. By default, the Camera Shots album is set as the fav orite album. This album stores the pictures and videos y ou captured using the phone camera.
Using the Home Screen 57 T o set repeat and shuffle modes T ouch M enu > Repeat and choose whether t o repeat the current track, repeat all tracks in the curr ent album or playlist, or not to r epeat. T o tur n shuffle mode on or off , touch Menu > Shuffle and then selec t Shuffle On or Shuffle Off .
58 Using the Home Screen 3.9 Settings The Settings tab gives y ou access to all the phone settings. Adjust the Wi-F i and Bluetooth settings. Access all personal , system, and connection settings. Swipe your finger upward/do wnward on the screen to view more settings.
Using the Home Screen 59 3.10 Calendar The Calendar tab displa ys a monthly calendar and allows you t o quickly create and view appointments. Switch to Da y view so you can view or create appointments for the current da y . T ouch a date to view or create appointmen ts for that date.
60 Using the Home Screen 3.11 W eather The W eather tab shows you the current w eather as well as weather inf ormation for the next four day s of the week. The W eather tab can display w eather information of your local city and/or weather in up t o ten cities.

Chapt er 4 Entering T ext 4.1 On-screen Input Methods When you start a program or select a field that requires t ext or numbers, the Input Panel icon is display ed on the menu bar . T ap the Input Selec tor arro w (next to the Input Panel icon) to open a menu wher e you can select a text input method and customize input options.

Ente ring T ex t 65 4.3 Using the Phone K eypad The Phone Ke ypad is an on-screen keypad that has a lay out similar to mobile phone keypads, plus some additional keys. The Phone Keypad has large keys and enhanced input f eatures such as predictive te xt input, which make it faster for y ou to enter text in your messages and documents .

The media is sent in a continuous stream t o your phone and is played as it arrives , along with the audio. The Streaming Media prog ram allows you t o play 3GP and MPEG-4 files.
In terne t 97 8.5 Using RSS Hub RSS Hub is an RSS reader that keeps you up-to-date with the latest news from the Internet. It monitors RSS feeds from y our favorite news sit es, blogs and more , and downloads the most current updates and podcasts .
