Chapt er 2 Using Phone F eatur es 2.1 Seamless Switching of N etworks Y our HTC T ouch Pro2 Global Phone allows y ou to roam outside of your CDM A network by accommodating a GSM SIM card. Y our device has a SIM card pre -installed and is set to Global mode b y default.

30 Using Phone Fea tures T o accept new calls Y our device notifies you when you have another inc oming call, and gives y ou the option of rejecting or accepting the call. If you ar e already on a call and accept the new call , you can choose to start a three -wa y call for all participants.

Use the Call History tab to check who the caller was, or view all your dialed numbers , and receiv ed calls. Using Phone F eatures 35 2.8 CDMA Phone Settings Setting the phone connection to CDMA-only mode When the phone is in CDMA-only mode, it can only access the Veriz on network if available, or access other CDMA roaming networks when outside the Verizon network co verage area.

40 Using Phone Fea tures GSM settings T o protect your SIM card with a PIN code The preinstalled Verizon SIM car d may be preset with a PIN. Y ou will be required to ent er the PIN when turning on the phone. When prompted, enter the pr eset PIN, then tap Enter .

Chapt er 3 T ouchFL O™ 3D 3.1 Using the T ouchFL O 3D Home S cr een T ouchFLO™ 3D g ives you touch c ontrol over y our Windows Mobile-powered device . T ouchFLO 3D pr ovides a Home screen that allow s finger-touch access to the most widely-used functions, such as My F avorites, Messaging, Email, Music , and the Internet Browser .
44 T ouchFLO™ 3D Swit ching between the tabs of the Home screen T o switch bet w een the tabs, you can do any of the f ollowing: T ouch or tap the desired tab. Pr ess and hold your finger on the active tab, and then slide y our finger right or left over the tabs.
T ouchFLO™ 3D 45 3.2 Home The Home tab displays the curr ent date, a flip-style clock, and an alarm icon that indicates whether the alarm is on or off . Missed calls and your upcoming calendar appointments are also sho wn on the Home tab. Open the appointment details screen where y ou can view , edit, or delete the appointment.

F rom the My F avorites tab , you can also set up your own contact card, cr eate new contacts, and easily view exchanged te xt, multimedia and e -mail messages with a contact.
48 T ouchFLO™ 3D T o add favorit e contacts Y ou can add up to 15 favorite contacts on the My F av orites tab . On the My F avorites tab , touch one of the plus (+) icons, or touch Add F avorite . On the Select a Contact screen, touch the name of the desired contact.

T ouchFLO™ 3D 55 3.6 Photos and V ideos The Photos and Videos tab lets you flip thr ough your photos and video clips and view them in full screen. F rom this tab, y ou can also open Camera and capture pictures and r ecord videos. T ouch the photo or video to view or play it in full screen.
56 T ouchFLO™ 3D 3.7 Calendar The Calendar tab displa ys a monthly calendar and allows you t o quickly create and view appointments. Switch to Da y view so you can view or create appointments for the current da y . T ouch a date to view or create appointmen ts for that date.
T ouchFLO™ 3D 57 3.8 Internet Br ow ser On the Brow ser tab, y ou can open Opera Mobile™ to browse the w eb, sear ch information, and add push web pages. This tab also lets you enable Push Internet to updat e the contents of your push w eb pages before y ou browse them.
58 T ouchFLO™ 3D 3.9 W eather The W eather tab shows you the current w eather as well as weather inf ormation for the next four day s of the week. The W eather tab can display w eather information of your local city and/or weather in up t o ten cities.
T ouchFLO™ 3D 59 3.10 Stocks The Stocks tab allow s you to add, view , and analyze stocks and stock market movements using upda ted financial information. Y ou can add up to 14 stock quotes or stock market index es on the Stocks tab . Note Downloading stock or stock market information ma y incur additional fees.
60 T ouchFLO™ 3D T ouch the stock quote or stock market index name to view its intraday chart and other details. T o view more stock quotes or stock market indexes , swipe your finger upward on the scr een. Add, delet e, or rearrange the stocks and stock market indexes .
T ouchFLO™ 3D 61 3.11 Music The Music tab allows y ou to visually browse thr ough albums and music tracks and play music. The albums and music tracks that you see on the Music tab ar e from the Now Playing list of the Libr ar y . Go to the previous album or the previous track in the current album.
62 T ouchFLO™ 3D Keep tapping an item on a category tab (for example, an artist) until the music tracks display on the screen. T ap a music track to play it. Note When you select a category in the Librar y such as Artists and play its music, the Now Pla ying list will be replaced with the music tracks from that cat egor y .

Chapt er 4 Entering T ext 4.1 The Har dware K eyboard Y our device comes with a QWERT Y keyboard, which is similar to a standar d keyboard on a computer . T o use the keyboard, slide the scr een panel to the right to rev eal the keyboard. The screen orientation aut omatically switches to landscape mode when the keyboard is opened .

76 Exchanging Messages T o filter the Inbox message list When the SMS/MMS or e-mail I nbox on y our device is full of messages, you can filter y our Inbox to display only the messages that contain a particular sender or subjec t you ar e searching for .
