get started: paper inform ation 7 3 Place a stack of paper in the IN tray. • L oad the paper with the side to be printed facing down . The printer pulls the paper i n, flips it over, a nd then prints on the paper; the finished document faces up in the OUT tray.
basics guide 8 4 L ower the photo tray cover. 5 Move the photo tray slider away from you (toward the inside of the printer) until it stops against the edge of the paper. This engages the photo tray . 6 When you finish using the photo tray, mov e the photo tray slider toward you unti l it stops.
get started: print cartr idge information 9 use reserve mode Reserve Mo de allows yo u to keep printing if one o r two of yo ur print cartridges fails, runs out of ink, or i s incompatible wi th your printer. If a print cartridge error message appears on the LCD, remove the print cartridge and close the s ide door to enter Reserve Mo de.
basics guide 10 1 If the printer is off, press the P OWER button on the printer’s control panel to tu rn the printer on. 2 L oad plain paper in the IN tray so the printer can print a calibration page after you install the print cartridges. 3 Open the side door .

use your printer with a camera: print from a memor y card 17 If your digital camera supports multiple file ty pes, it may be able to save photos in several different file formats, such as JPEG, uncompressed TIFF, FlashP ix, and RAW. You can print JPEG and uncompressed TIFF files dir ectly from the memory card.
