Oper ating the Monitor Use r Guide 4–7 Soft w ar e and U tilities The monitor includes a CD that contains two f iles you can install on your computer: ■ an .INF (Information) f ile ■ an .ICM (Image Color Matching) f ile Adobe Reader is supplied on this CD and can be installed from the menu.
4–8 User Gui de Oper ating the Monitor This monitor is W indo ws Plug and Play compatible and the monitor will work correctly without installing the .INF f ile. Monitor Plug and Play compatibility requires that the computer’ s graphic card is VESA DDC2 compliant and that the monitor connects directly to the graphi cs card.

4–10 Use r Guide Oper ating the Monitor The DDC2B is a bidirectional data channel based on the I²C protocol. The host can request EDID information ov er the DDC2B channel. THIS MONIT OR WILL APPEAR TO BE NON-FUNCTION AL IF THERE IS NO VIDEO INPUT SIGN AL.
