3 Set tin g U p t h e Monitor T o set up the monitor , ensure that the po wer is turned off to the monitor , computer system, and other attached de vices, then follo w the steps below . Installin g t h e Monitor P edes tal T o install the monitor pedestal: 1.
Setting Up the Monito r 2. Using both hands, position the monitor ov er the pedestal base and press do wn firmly to lock the pedestal base in place. When the base locks, it will make a clicking sound. Mak e sure the pedestal base is securely locked before continuing with the setup.
Setting Up the Monitor Conn ec tin g t he Monitor 1. Place the monitor in a con venient, well-ventilated location near your computer . 2. Connect the monitor signal cable on the back of the monitor to the video connector on the rear panel of the computer .

Oper ating the Monitor Adjus ting Monitor Set ting s Use the On-Screen Display (OSD) to adjust the screen image based on your vie wing preferences. T o access the OSD, do the follo wing: 1. If the monitor is not already on, press the Po wer switch to turn on the monitor .

Oper ating the Monitor For more precise adjustments, run the Adjustment P attern provided on the CD and use the Clock and Clock Phase controls (accessible from the OSD menu) as described in the follo wing section.
Oper ating the Monitor Id entif ying Monitor C onditions Special messages will appear on the monitor screen when identifying the follo wing monitor conditions: ■ � Input Signal Out of Range— Indicates the monitor does not support the input signal because the resolution and/or refresh rate are set higher than the monitor supports.

Oper ating the Monitor 13. Set the T imer mode to On to activ ate the Sleep T imer settings. 14. When you are finished, select Sa ve and Return to e xit the menu. The f ifth selection, Sleep Now , turns the monitor backlights off immediately and stays in sleep mode until the next On T ime acti vates or a monitor b utton is pressed.

Oper ating the Monitor C han gin g t he C ol or T em pera ture 1. Press the Menu button on the front panel of the monitor to launch the Main Menu of the OSD. 2. Select Advanced Menu to access all options in the Main Menu. 3. Select Color to display the Color T emperature menu.
Oper ating the Monitor 5. T o acti v ate a color profile for your monitor , you must set it as the Default Monitor Prof ile. Select “sRGB Color Space Prof ile, ” then click Set as Default button.
