Control panel features Wireless 1 On : Turns the product on or off. When the product is off, a minimal amount of powe r is st ill used. To completely remove power, turn off the product, then unplug the power cord. 2 Cancel : Stops the curre nt operation.

5. Select the appropriate options for y our print job by using th e features available in th e Advanced , Printing Shortcuts , Features , and Color tabs. TIP: You can easily sel ect the appropriate options for your print job by choosing one of the predefi ned print tasks on the Printing Shortcuts tab.
7. In the Resizin g Options area, click the appropriat e paper size from the Size list . If the paper size and pa per type are not compatible, the produ ct software displays an alert and allows you t o select a different type or size. 8. In the Basi c Options area, select a high print quality, such as Best , from the Print Quality drop -down list.
9. Select the Borde rless printing check box if it is not already checked. If the borderl ess paper size and paper type are not compatible, t he product software displays an alert an d allows you to select a di fferent type or size. 10. Click OK , and then click Print or OK in the Prin t dialog box.

View the print resolution The printer software displ ays the print resolution in dots per inch (dpi). The dpi varies according to the paper typ e and print quality that you select in th e printer software. To view the print resolution 1. On the File menu in your software application , click Print .

Find the cartridg e number 1. In the HP So lution Center, cli ck Settings , point to Print Settings , and then click Printer Toolbo x . NOTE: You can also open t he Printer Toolbox from the Print Pro perties dialog box. In the Prin t Properties dialog box , click the Features tab, and then click the Printer Services button.
If the print cart ridges are not low on ink, clean the print cartridges automaticall y. CAUTION: Clean print cartridges only when necessary. Unne cessary cleaning wastes ink and shortens th e life of the cartridge. To clean the print cartr idges 1. In the HP Solution Center, click Settings .

Check product Try the following solu tions. • Solution 1 : Alig n the print cartridges • Solution 2: Au tomatically clean the print cartridge s. Solution 1: Align th e print cartridges Solution: Aligning the print cartridges can help e nsure high-quality output.

Make sure the margin setti ngs for the document do not exceed the prin table area of the product. To check your m argin settings 1. Preview your prin t job before sending it to the product. In most software a pplications, click the Fil e menu, and then click Print Preview .
Cause: If you u sed the Text imag e type to scan text that yo u planned to edit, the scanner might no t have re cognized color text. The Text image type scans at 300 x 300 dpi, in black a nd white. If you scanned an origina l that has graphics or artwork surroundi ng the text, the scanner might not have recog nized the text.
Parts of the o riginal do not appear or are cut off Try the following so lutions to resolve the issue. Solut ions are listed in order, with the most likely solution f irst. If the first solution d oes not solve the problem, continue trying the remaining soluti ons until the issue is resolved.
Cause: The original was placed incorrectly on the g lass. If this did not solve the issu e, try the next solution.
