Welcome 1 C35 0 1-1 1 Welcome This man ual describes the printing and scanning func tions and operat ions of the pri nter controll er for the Konic a Minolta digit al color copier C350. 1.1 Product O vervie w The pr inter controll er is a devi ce used for a dding printin g, network p rinting, scanni ng and box f unctions to the C350 copier.

Connect ing to a Com puter 3 C35 0 3-1 3 Connecting to a Computer In order to sen d print data from a compu ter to this machine, or to c apture data scan ned using this machin e, it is necessary to connect thi s machine to the c omputer. There are two ways to connect t his machine to the compute r.
3 Connec ting to a Comp uter 3-2 C350 Connection proce dure 1 Make sure this machine is turned off. 2 Connect o ne end of the 10Base-T/100Ba se-TX cable to the 10Base- T/100Bas e-TX port on t his machi ne, and co nnect the other end of the cable t o the network hub.
Connect ing to a Com puter 3 C35 0 3-3 3.2 U sing a Parallel C onnection Use a pa rallel cable (IEEE 1284, Centro nics) to co nnect the pa rallel port on this machine to the parall el port on the computer. The paral lel port on this machine supp orts IEEE 1284 Ty pe B.

Repea t steps 4 thro ugh 8. 10 When ins tallation is complete, m ake sure that the icon of the installe d print er appears in the “ Prin ters ” window.

8 Using the Scan Functio ns 8-2 C350 8.1.1 Environment Requi red for the Scan Fu nctions The f ollowing env ironment is re quired to se nd image dat a (send and receiv e for Internet fa xing) using the scan fun ctions. ✎ Note All sca n functions can only be used under a TCP/IP network env ironm ent .
