Control panel features ! 1 Power : Turns the pro duct on or off. When the product is off, a minimal a mount of power is still used. To completely remove power, turn off the product, then unplug the power cord. 2 Cancel : Stops the curre nt operation. 3 Start Copy Black : Starts a black-and-white copy job.
Status Lights When the produ ct is turned on, the on bu tton light will be lit. When the prod uct is processing a job, the on light wi ll be blinki ng. Additiona l blinking light s signal errors that you can resolve. Se e below to learn about blinking li ghts and what t o do.
Behavi or Solution Identify a defective cartridge to identify if only one cartridge is a defective. Both cartridge lights and attention light ar e blinking The cartridge carriage inside the printer has stalled.

NOTE: You can print your docum ent on both sid es of the paper, instead of just one side. Click on the Adv anced bu tton on t he Paper/Q uality or Layout tab.
NOTE: Do not leave unused ph oto paper in the inpu t tray. The paper mi ght start to curl, which could reduce the quality of your printout. Ph oto paper should b e flat before printing. Print envelopes You can load one or more envelopes int o the input t ray of the HP Al l-in-One.
Cartridge tips • Use genuine H P ink cartridges. • Install both the black and tri- color cartridges correctly. For more information, see Replace the cartri dges . • Check the estimated ink levels in the cartridges to make sure t here is sufficient ink.
• You can print yo ur document on both sides of the pape r, instead of just one side. NOTE: Click the Advan ced butt on on the Pa per/Qual ity or Layout tab.

4 Paper basics You can load many differen t types and sizes of paper in the HP All-in-One, includin g letter or A4 paper, p hoto paper, transpa rencies, and envel opes.
HP Brochure Paper or HP Sup erior Inkjet Paper These papers are glossy-coated or matte-coat ed on both sides fo r two-sided use. They are the perfect choice for near-photograp hic reproductio ns and business graphi cs for report covers, spe cial presentations, brochures, mailers, and calendars.

NOTE: If the photo pa per you are using has perforated tabs, load photo paper so that tabs are on top.

❑ Remove all paper from the main input tra y. d . Load envelopes. ❑ Insert one or mo re envelopes int o far-right side of the input tray. The side to be printed on sho uld face up. The flap should be on t he left side an d facing down. ❑ Slide stack of envel opes down un til it stops.

Order ink supplies Before ordering cartridges , locate the correct cartridge num ber. Locate the cartridge number on the printer ▲ The cartridge n umber is located insid e the cartridge door. Replace the cartridges To replace the cartri dges 1. Check power. 2. Load paper. 3. Remove cartridge. a . Open cartridg e door. Wait for print carriage to move to center of the product . b . Press down to release cart ridge, then remove i t from slot.
4. Insert new cartridge. a . Remove cartridge fr om packaging. b . Remove plastic tape using pink pull t ab. c . Slide cartridge into slot until it clicks into place.
d . Close cartridge do or. 5. Align cartridges. Clear a paper jam Clear a paper jam. To clear a paper jam 1. Press the cancel button to try to clear the jam automatically . If this does not wo rk, the paper jam will need to be cleare d manually. 2. Locate the paper jam Input tray If the paper jam is loca ted near the back input tra y, pull the paper ge ntly out of the input tray.
Inside of prin ter • If the pape r jam is located insid e the printer, open t he cleanout doo r located on the bottom of th e printer. Press tabs on both sid es of the cleanout door. • Remove jam med paper. • Close the clean out door. Gently pu sh the door towards the printer until b oth latches sn ap into place.
