FREEZER - MODELS FZM80, FZA80 & FZA50 INSTRUCTIONS FOR INST ALLA TION & USE GET TING ST ARTED: T o ensure that your freez er runs reliably and efficiently follo w these st eps. Choose a location for your freezer , away from an y heat sources and allow adequate ventilation - 100mm (4 inches) gap above .
F or Y our Safety For y our safety , read the following advice: The freezer c ooling system contains a small amount of gas which is en vironmentally friendly but flammable. T o a void any risk :- ● Install the freezer follo wing the installation instruc tions and ensure that ventilation openings ar e k ept clear of obstruction.
Installation 3 Minimum space required to open door The freezer needs a spac e of 600mm (24 inches) in front to allo w the door t o open. When positioning the freezer next to a unit, a gap of 30mm (1 1 / 4 inch) can be lef t at the hinge side of the door to allow the easy remo val of furniture.
Installation Lev elling: Lev el the freezer when it is in its final location by adjusting the front feet , until firm contact is made with the floor . This will stop rocking or vibration and keep the door aligned which helps the freezer run reliably and efficiently .
Installation Electrical Supply W ARNING: This appliance must be earthed. The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is acc essible af ter installation. Fu se s Y our applianc e comes fitted with a plug and a 13A fuse. I f y ou need to replace the fuse, only use those rated at 13A and AST A appr oved to BS1362.
C ontrols Con trolling the T emperature of the F reezer Compartment The control wheel on the fr ont panel adjusts the internal freezer temperature . The internal freez er temperature should be -18˚C or c older . The setting of the control wheel will depend on the loca tion of the freezer , the room temperature and ho w of ten the door is opened .
C ontrols Indicator Lights Green Mains Light The green mains light will sta y on as long as the elec tricity supply is not interrupted . Amber F ast Freez e Light The amber fast freeze light indica tes that the fast freeze button has been pressed on. By pressing this button ON, the freezer motor will run continuously f or ex tra c ooling.
C ontrols 8 CONTROLS F ast Freeze Butt on - Freezing F resh Food Depending on your model - the bottom compartment drawer (FZA50), the bottom two compartment drawers (FZA80 and FZM80) should be used to freez e fresh food. T ransfer already fro zen food to one of the upper draw ers.

Useful A dvice 10 Making the best use of your Fr eezer T o ensure that your freezer opera tes as efficiently as possible : ● F ollow food packaging “best before/use b y ” instruc tions or y our suppliers advice on a suitable maximum storage time .
Useful A dvice 11 Storing F ood in a Freezer ● F reeze and store either fr esh food or long term commercially fro zen foods. ● Generally speaking long term storage means up to 3 months but this can vary , so always follow y our supplier ’ s recommendations other wise r efer to the pictorial guide on the door liner (as shown).
Useful A dvice 12 Advic e on Using F reezer Draw ers The freezer c ompartments must be used with the drawers. The storage dra wers can be easily removed . Pull the draw er towar ds you until it reaches it’ s stop position. Hold securely on both sides, lif t the front of the dr awer to release and remov e.
Cleaning 13 Cleaning W ARNING: Switch off electr ical supply and pull out mains plug bef ore cle aning. Interior W ARNING: D o not use abrasiv e powder , household cleaner , bleach or wax polish to clean the interior , they will leave a smell in the fre ezer .
Door Rev ersal 14 Y ou will need a cross head screwdriver , a flat blade screwdriver and a 5mm spanner t o carr y out this proc edure. Our Ser vice Department can arrange for an Engineer to do the con version for you but a charge will be made. W ARNING: Switch off electr ical supply and pull out the mains plug .
Door Rev ersal 15 Note : Y ou may require assistance to do this: 25. Place the top hinge ont o the door , slide the door onto the bottom hinge pin and support the door whilst screwing the top hinge bracket into position. Ensure that the top hinge bracket is positioned correctly .

Check plug is firmly positioned in the socket outlet and the power supply is switched on.
T roubleshooting 17 OPERA TING SOUNDS OF A FREEZER These are the normal types of sound that your freez er will make . The motor (compressor) makes a buzzing or humming sound when it is running. This can be louder when it first switches on. This sound will reduce ov er the first few months.
