5 69-1431–1 Planning Program Schedule The thermostat display shows day , time, program period, and temperature. The thermostat can be set for f our time periods per day f or weekdays and w eek end. Before programming the thermostat, you can use the program schedule to plan your program.

7 69-1431–1 Programming Thermostat The thermostat is flexible and can be program- med for different schedules for weekdays and the weekend to meet your lifestyle needs. Use the personal Program Schedule for planning your time and temperature settings for various times of the day .
69-1431–1 8 Sleep is the time period you can set for an energy-saving temperature while you are sleeping. (For more comfortable sleep- ing, some people choose not to raise the cool temperature during the night.) IMPORT ANT Alwa ys press the keys with y our finger tip or similar b lunt tool.

13 69-1431–1 Operating Thermostat Setting SYSTEM and FAN Switches Use the SYSTEM and F AN switches to control thermostat operation. SYSTEM settings: Cool: The thermostat controls the cooling. Off: Both the heating and cooling are of f. Heat: The thermostat controls the heating.
69-1431–1 14 Back Lighting (Select Models) Any key pressed lights the display for approxi- mately ten seconds. Replacing the Batteries (T8002 Models Only) The T8002 Thermostat requires three AA alkaline batteries to operate. As the batteries run low , your thermostat shows a "bAt Lo" message in the digital display .
15 69-1431–1 The minimum off-timer operates in cooling on the T8000 and T8001, T8002, T8024 (multi- stage model) and in first stage heating or cooling on the T801 1 (heat pump model). A flashing flame or snowflake indicates the minimum off-time is in ef fect.

69-1431–1 20 W arranty Honeywell warrants this product, excluding battery , to be free from defects in the workmanship or materials, under normal use and service, for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase by the consumer .
