Disconnect t he keyboard fr om the host device. 4. Connect the “ Y ” end of the Power Link cable to the ke yboard and the keyboard port on the host PC.

S CANNER O PERATION Audible Indicators When the 7180 i s i n oper ation, it pr ovides audible fe edback to ind ic ate the status of the scanner. Eight settings ar e available f or t he tone of the beep (n ormal, six alternate tones and no tone).
S CAN NER O PERATI ON Visual Indicators The 7180 is equip ped with a blue a nd a white LED that indicate s t he s canner’s state and the status of t he current scan when the unit is i n o peration . U PGRADING THE F IRMWARE The 7 18 0 is par t of Hone ywell’s line of s canners with flas h u pgradeable f irmware. The upgrade p r ocess requires , a new firmware file s upplied to t he c us tomer by a customer servi ce representat ive and Honeywell ’s MetroSet 2 soft ware .
