Welcome Your Grandstream GXP20 20 features a new sophisti ca ted design and is very easy to use. The GXP2020 combines advanced feature functionality with the latest technology to offer excellent audio q uality, ease of use, expandability, and broad interope rability with 3 rd party SIP platforms.
Installation E QUIPMENT P ACKAGING The GXP2020 phone package contains: 1) One GXP2020 Main Case er Adaptor C ONNE TING Y OUR P HONE are lo cated on the bottom of the device.
ALL OUNT XP2020 can be wall mounted. For pr oper wall mounting please place the two wall-mount spacers into ottom of the GXP2020 as show below: ching the Wall-Mount Spacers o position the phone on the wall, place two fixed hangers on the wall, hang the back of the phone on the xed hangers.

Product Overview GXP2020 features 6 lines, each with an individu al SIP account and offers a large graphical LCD displa y, four (4) XML programmable soft keys, and seve n (7) program mable hard keys. It offers intuitive user interfaces, 5-way conferencing, 2 head set jacks, and thre e (3) adjustable po sitioning angles.

Using the GXP2020 SIP Enterprise Phone G ETTING F AMILIAR WITH THE LCD The GXP2020 has a dyn amic and customizable screen. The screen displays differently depending on whether the phone is idle or in use (active screen). Figure 5 illustrates the IDLE and ACTIVE screens.

A NSWERING P HONE C ALLS R ECEIVING C ALLS 1. Incoming single call: Phone rings with selected rin g-tone. The corresponding account LINE flashes red. Answer call by taking Ha ndset/SPEAKER/Headset off hook or pressing SPEAKER or by pressing the corresp onding account LINE button.
5-W AY C ONFERENCING The GXP2020 can host conference calls and support s 5-way conference callin g. 1. Initiate a Conference Call : Establish a connection with two or more parties Press CONF button Choose the desired line to join the conf eren ce by pressing the corresponding LINE button.
C ALL F EATURES The GXP2020 supports traditional and advanced telephony features including ca ller ID, caller ID w/name, call forward/transfer/park/hold as well a s intercom/paging and BLF.
C ONFIGURATION G UIDE The GXP2020 ca n be configured in two wa ys. Firstly, using the Key Pad Confi guration Menu on th e phone; secondly, through em bedded web-co nfiguration menu. C ONFIGURATION W ITH K EY P AD To enter the MENU, press the round button.
Display “ Configure ” Press Menu button to display the configuration selections: • Network. To enable/disable DHCP. To setup IP-address, Net mask and Gateway address • SIP To change SIP-server settings for primary account. • Audio • Upgrade In this menu setting regarding the firmware serve r and config server can be changed.

C ONFIGURATION WITH W EB B ROWSER The GXP2020 embedded Web server responds to HTTP/HTTPS GET/POST requests. Emb edded HTML pages allow a u ser to configure the IP phone throug h a Web browser such as Microsoft’s I E or Mozilla Firefox.

Advanced User configuration includ es not only the end user configuration, but also adva nced configuration such a s SIP configuratio n, Codec selection, NAT Traversal Setting and other mi scellaneous configuration. Use # as Dial Key This parameter allo ws users to configure the “# ” key as the “Send” (or “Dial ”) key. If set to “Yes”, the “#” key will immediately send the ca ll. In this case, this key is essentially equivalent to the “(Re)Dial” key.
DTMF Payload Typ e This parameter sets the payload type for DTMF using RFC2833. Default is 101 . Syslog Server The IP address or URL of System log server. This feature is espe cially useful for ITSPs. Syslog Level Select the ATA to report the log level.
I NDIVIDUAL A CCOUNT S ETTINGS The GXP2020 has 6 line appearan ces, each with an independent SIP account. Each SIP account requires its own configurat ion page. T heir configurations are identical. NAT Traversal This parameter activates the NAT traversal m echanism. If activated (by choosing “Yes”) and a STUN server is also specif ied, the phone performs according to the STUN client specification. Using this mode, the embedded STUN client detects if and what type of NAT/Firewall configuration is used.
Force INVITE Session Timer can be ref reshed using INVITE method or UPDATE method. Select “Yes” to use INVITE method to refresh th e session timer. Enable 100rel PRACK (Provisional Acknowledgment) method enabl es reliability to SIP provisional respo nses (1xx series).
Software Upgrade & Customization Software (or firmware) up grades are completed via either TFTP or HTTP. The corre sponding configuration settings are i n the ADVANCED SETTINGS configuration page . F IRMWARE U PGRADE T HROUGH TFTP/HTTP To upgrade via TFTP or HTTP, select TFTP or H TTP upgrade method.
DIRECTIONS TO CONFIGURE LOCAL TFTP : 1. Unzip the file and put all of them under the root directory of the TFTP server. 2. The PC running the TFTP server and the GXP2020 should be in the same LAN segment.
Restore Factory Default Setting WARNING: Restoring the Factory Default Setting will delete all configuration information of the phone. Please backup or pr int all the settings before you restoring factory default settings. Gran dstream is not responsible for resto ring lo st param eters and ca nnot connect to your VoIP service provider.
