Repair Repair Pressure Relief Procedure Follow the Pre ssure Relief Procedure whenever you see th is symbol. This equipment stays pressuri zed until pressure is relieved manual ly.
Repair Replace Seals or Rebuild Air Valve Follow these instructions to service the ai r valve with one of the availabl e repair kits. Air Valve Seal Kit parts are mark ed with a †. Air Valve Rep air Kit parts are marked with a ♦. Air Valve End Cap Kit part s a r em a r k e dw i t ha‡ .
Repair 7. Grease an d install t he detent assembl y (203♦) into the pis ton. Install t he o-ring (21 4♦) on the cup (213♦). Apply a light film of grease to the o u t s i d es u r f a c eo ft h eo - r i n ga n dt h ei n s i d e mating surf ace of the base (212♦).

Repair Reassemble the Dia phragm and Center Section Follow all notes in the illus tration. Th ese notes contain important infor mation. NOTE: Apply li thium-ba sed grease whenever instru cted to grease. 1. Clean all par ts and inspect for wear or da mage.
Repair SP and FK Models PO Models PT Models Rounded si de faces diaphragm Apply lithi um based grease. Apply primer and medium-strength (blue) thread locker. Torqu e to 65-70 ft-lb (88–95 N •m). AIR SIDE markings on diap hragm must face center housing.
Repair 8. To ensure prope r seating and exte nd diaphragm life, ap ply air pressu re to the pum p prior to attaching the second fluid cover. a. Place the supp li ed tool (302) where the air valve gasket ( 105) normally goes. Arrows (A) mus t face t oward the fluid cover that is already atta ched.
Torque Instruct ions Torque Instructions If fluid cover o r manifold f asteners h ave been loosened, it i s important to t orque them using the following pro cedure to improve sealing. NOTE: Fluid cover and manifo ld fasteners have a thread-locki ng adhesive patch a pplied to the thr eads.
