1 1 Overview Thank you for choosing GETNET GR-534W. GETNET GR-534W is fully comp atible with 802.11g standard. Meanwhile, it is also compatible with 802.11 standards and ea rlier 802.11b st andard s. GETNE T GR-534W supports CCK an d OFDM and its data rate is up to 150 Mbps.
2 2 Hardware Description and Hardw are Installation 2.1 Front Panel and LED S t atus Ther e are 8 LED indica tors on the front p anel of GR-5 34W . By observing their st atus, you can judge whether the device runs normally . The following table describes the LE D indicators on the front panel.

5 2.4 Operation Range The operation range of GR-5 34W depends on the actual environment. When the device is placed in the house or in the of fice, the overall arr angements are dif ferent. So the path and effect for the s ignal tran smission are different.

7 3 Netw ork Configuration and Introduction to Network Connection Modes Web management tool allo ws you to configure GR-534W. The recommende d browser is Internet Explor er 5.
8 Step 2 Right click the net work ad apter icon and select Properties in the menu. The Local A rea Connections Properties appear s. ( Note: If there are several network cards on your PC, it may not display the Local A rea Connections Properti es p age.
9 Step 4 Select Use t he following IP address and enter the IP address of the network adapter . The IP address s hould belong to the IP network segment 192.168. 1.X (X is a number between 2 and 254). Step 5 Set subnet mask and then click the OK button to finish manual setting.
10 Step 6 After finishing setting, y ou may pi ng the default IP address of the GR-534W , to che ck whether the current conn ection between PC and the GR-534W is normal. Cli ck RUN… in the lower left corner on the de sktop, and then enter ping 192. 168.
11 If you want to access the Internet via th e GR-534W, there are two common access ways, includ ing PPPoE a nd DHCP ( Auto con fig). T he follow ing section s describe the common network connecti on modes of these two ways.
12 Step5 On the Wide A r ea Ne twork (W AN) Settings page, set the WAN Connection T ype to be PPPoE (ADSL) and enter the correct PPP oE username and passw ord.

14 Network Connection icon and select View A vailable Wireless Networks . Step 2 On the Wireless Network Connection page, click Refresh network list and the network list w ill be refreshed. The defaul t SSID of the G R-534W is Getne t . Choose the AP that y ou want to connec t, and then click the Connect button.
15 Step 3 If the GR-534W is encr ypted, you need to enter the encr yp tion key in the field of network key and then click the Connect button. Step 4 If the wireless network c ard conn ect s to GR-534W successfu lly , the character Connected will appear in the AP ’s upper right corner .
16 Step 5 If you are not sure of the SSID available, please lo g in to the Web p age of AP , and view the SSID on the Basic Wireless Settings p age. For m ore information about the wireless setting s, please refer to 5.4 Wireles s Settings (Gateway Mode).
17 Open the browse r , and enter ht tp://192.168 .1.1/ in the IE address bar . Enter the user name ( admin , by defau lt) and th e passw ord ( admin , b y default) on the login page.
18 4 Quick Start 4.1 Quick S t art in the Bridge Mode In the bridge mode, you ma y connect the LAN interfaces of the GR-534W or other wireless devices to a LAN . Click Operation Mode to display the Operation Mode Configurati on pag e. On the Operation Mode Confi guration p age, choose the Bridge mode, and then click the Ap p l y butt on.
19 Click Wireless > Basic to disp lay the Basic Wireless Settings pag e . On this page, enable the radio switch and se t at least one legal SS ID. Make sure that.
20 the wireless devices ca n connect to the AP . After finish the settings, click the Ap pl y button to apply the settings. 4.2 Quick S t art in the Gateway Mode In the gateway mode, the GR -534W accesses the I nternet by ADSL or cable modem, and several users share the IP address provided by th e ISP on your network.
21 click the Ap p l y button . 4.2.1 System Management If you want to set the network time, click Ad m i n i s t ra t i o n > Management to display the Sy stem Ma nagemen t p age . In the table of NTP Settings , choose your time zone, en ter the NTP server address, and set the NTP sy nchronization time.

24 On this page, it provides 4 ty pes of network modes, inc luding 1 1 b/g/n mixed mode, 1 1 b /g mix ed mode, 1 1 b o nly , and 1 1g only . The default netw ork mod e is 1 1 b /g/n mixed mode. Y ou can set the SSID according to your actual application.
25 After finishing setting, clic k the Ap pl y button to appl y the settings. 4.2.5 Wireless Security Click Wireless > Security to display the Wireless Security/Encryption Settings page.
26 On the Opera tion Mode Configurati on page, choose the WISP mode, and then click the Ap p l y butt on. Click Wireless > Site Survey to display th e St ation Site Sur v ey page. O n t h i s p a g e , c h o o s e a n A P i n t h e Site Surv ey list, and then click the Connect button.
27 If this AP is not encrypted, you can click the Ap p l y button on the pop-up page to confirm the connection. If the AP that you want to connect is encrypted, you ne ed to enter the key on the pop-up page. If the connection succeeds, th e SSID of the AP in the Site Survey list will be mark ed with an icon .

On this page, enter the user name and the password provided by the ISP, and set the value of the Keep A l ive mode.

If the new rule joins a gr oup, it in dicates that the minimum and the maximum available band widths of the new rule ar e the same as the preset values of the group that it joins.

WDS Lazy Mode In the Lazy mode, the GR -534 W automa tically connec ts to the WDS devices that use the same SSID, channe l, encryption mode, and physic al mode.
