Any function that requires your prolonged attention should only be performed after coming to a complete stop.
3 -EN Never Attempt the Following Do not grip or pull out the disc while it is being pulled back into the player by the automatic reloading mechanism. Do not attempt to insert a disc into the unit when the unit power is off. Inserting Discs Y our player accepts only one disc at a time for playback.
4 -EN Detaching the Fr ont Panel 1 Press the PWR (P ower) b utton for more than 3 seconds to turn off the power . 2 Press the (Release) button at lo wer left corner until the front panel pops out. 3 Grasp the left side of the front panel and pull it out.
5 -EN Mov able display The mov able display ma y be adjusted to 3 diff erent angles depending upon user preference . 1 Press the ANGLE 8 or 9 button to adjust the angle of the mov able displa y . NOTES • The display will close a half minute after the ignition key is turned to the OFF position.
6 -EN Displaying Time 1 Press the CLK (clock) b utton repeatedly until the time is displa yed. Each press changes the modes as f ollows: Radio mode CD Player/Changer modes NO TE Selecting any tuner or CD function while in the clock priority mode will interrupt the time display momentarily .

8 -EN Basic Operation MODE INTLZ/DISP SOURCE A.PROC BLA CK OUT TUNE DN g f UP Setting the A UX Mode Y ou can input TV/video sound by connecting an optional Ai-NET/RCA Interf ace cable (KCA-121B) to this component. 1 Press and hold the INTLZ b utton for more than 2 seconds.

10 -EN Displaying the Title/T ext It is possible to displa y the CD/Station title if the title has been pre viously inputted. For details , see Titling Disc/Station (page 11). T ext inf or mation, such as the disc name and the trac k name, will be displa yed if pla ying a CD text compatible disc.
11 -EN Titling Discs/Stations It is possible to title y our fa vorite CD's or radio stations. 1 Press the TITLE button and select the title displa y mode. For details , see Displaying the Title/T e xt (page 10). 2 Press and hold the TITLE button f or at least 3 seconds.
12 -EN A utomatic Seek T uning 1 Press the SOURCE button until a r adio frequency appears in the displa y . 2 Press the B AND button repeatedly until the desired radio band is displa yed. Each press changes the band: → F1 → F2 → AM 3 Press the TUNE button to illuminate the DX and SEEK indicators in the displa y .
13 -EN Manual Storing of Station Presets 1 Select the radio band and tune in a desired radio station you wish to store in the preset memory . 2 Press and hold any one of the Preset b uttons (1 through 6) f or at least 2 seconds until the station frequency on the displa y blinks.
14 -EN Mono/Stereo Switching 1 Press the "F" button to illuminate the FUNC (Function) indicator . 2 "ST" indicator appears when a stereo FM station is tuned in. Press the MONO button to s witch from stereo to monaural FM reception.
15 -EN Opening and Closing the Mo vable displa y 1 Press the c button. The mov able displa y will open. T o close the movab le displa y , press the c button again. The mov able displa y will close. NOTES • Do not apply shock to the movable display when it is open as it may r esult in malfunction of the unit.

22 -EN Installation and Connections Before installing or connecting the unit, please read the following and pages 2 and 3 of this manual thoroughly for proper use. W arning MAKE THE CORRECT CONNECTIONS. Failure to make the proper connections may result in fire or product damage.
23 -EN Installation Caution When you install this unit in your car , do not remove the Detachable Front Panel. If the Detachable Front Panel is removed during installation, you might press too hard and warp the metal plate that holds it in place. 1 Remov e the Detachable F ront P anel (ref er to page 4).
