T oy Designer Choose an activit y or game from the Home Screen: Designer ’ s W orkshop , Hide-and-Seek, Shelf Shopper , Pla ytime Programmer , Star ter Scenes , and C opy ca t Challenge .
Designer’s W orkshop • Design an ac tion figure by choosing a head , body , legs and arms. T ouch your choice on the screen with the stylus. 5 Head • Look at the diff erent heads on the con v eyor belt. T ouch the screen with the stylus to choose one for y our toy .
6 • Now , choose another par t to design! T ouch your choice on the screen with the stylus. Body • Look at the diff erent bodies on the con v eyor belt.
7 Legs • Look at the diff erent legs on the c onv ey or belt. T ouch the screen with the stylus to choose one for y our to y . • Now , choose another par t to design! T ouch your choice on the screen with the stylus.
8 • Now , choose the last par t to design! T ouch your choice on the screen with the stylus. Arm s • Look at the diff erent arms on the con v eyor belt.
9 • T ouch the flashing box on the screen with the stylus. • Look at the action figure y ou designed!.
10 Hide-and-Seek Object of the Game: F ind the toy! • Look at the t oy on the screen. This is the to y you need to find . Hint: If you designed an action figure in the Designer ’ s W orkshop activity , you ’ll be looking for your to y! • Pixter® hides the toy and c ounts down.
11 • The to y is hidden behind one of the flashing objects. Can y ou find it? • T ouch an objec t on the screen with the stylus..
12 • Hoora y! Y ou ’v e found the t oy! • Oh well, the toy isn ’t there . T r y again! Hint: Y ou’ll get three tries to find the toy ..
13 • If you don ’t find the to y after three tries , Pixter® shows you where the t oy is hiding . Play again! Hint: If you’ d lik e to go to a different activit y , touch Home on the tool menu with the stylus to return to the Home Screen.
14 Shelf Shopper • L et ’ s go to the stor e. • T ouch the arrows on the bottom of the screen with the stylus to scroll through differ ent toys . Hint: If you designed an action figure in the Designer ’ s W orkshop activity , you ’ll find it on the store shelf .
15 • After you ’ve filled y our shopping car t with three to ys , it ’ s time to check out. • T ouch the shopping car t on the screen with the stylus.
• T ouch the cash register on the screen with the stylus to pay f or your to ys. • I t ’ s time to go home and pla y with the toys . • Use the tools on the tool menu t o add to y our room: "Pencil" T ool ; Straight Line ; Shape Maker ; Stamp It ; Erase It ; or Special Effec ts Selec tor .

18 Playtime Progr ammer • Choose a to y to animate . T ouch your choice on the screen with the stylus. • The blinking arrow on the bottom of the screen is telling y ou to choose the stamper tool. T ouch the stamper tool on the tool menu with the stylus.
19 • Choose an animation for the t oy . T ouch your choic e on the screen with the stylus. • Now , touch the screen with the stylus to place y our stamper .

Hints: – If you chose more than one stamper and placed them on the screen, each stamper comes to life in the or der that you placed them on screen.
• If you ha ve a Pixter® 2.0 unit and you ’ d like to send your picture to another Pixter® 2.0, touch the Sav e It or S end I t tool on the tool menu with the stylus.
22 Starter Scenes • T ouch the arrows on the bottom of the screen with the stylus to scroll through differ ent backgrounds. • When you find one that y ou like , touch the screen with the stylus.
• The blinking arrow on the bottom of the screen encour ages you to use the Stamp I t tool on the tool menu . T ouch the Stamp I t tool with the stylus. • T ouch the arrows on the bottom of the screen with the stylus to scroll through stamper choices.

• Choose another to y par t from a con vey or belt. T ouch your choic e on the screen with the stylus. • T ouch the screen near the platform again with the stylus to place the new par t. • Continue t o get par ts from the con vey or belts and place them on the platf orm to build the to y .

• After you ’ve completed f our to ys , you ’ re on to the next level. - The c onv ey or belts mov e a little faster . - Some par ts on the conv ey or belts can ’ t be used to build the sample to y in the left corner . - Y ou only get 30 seconds to produc e the to y .
• Oops, that ’ s the wrong to y par t. • Now , it ’ s in the trash bin. Hint: Don ’ t fill up the trash bin! • Choose another to y par t. T ouch your choice on the screen with the stylus. • After you ’ve produced eight t oys , you ’ re on to the third lev el.
• Keep playing until y ou fill the trash bin. How man y toys did y ou produc e? Hint: If you’ d lik e to save y our game , t ouch Save It on the tool menu with the st ylus. If you’ d lik e to go to a different activit y , touch Home on the tool menu with the stylus to return to the Home Screen.
33 T ool Menu Create y our own dra wing or write a message with the stylus. “P encil” T ool Pixter ® ,P i x t e r ® Plus, Pixter ® 2.0 T ouch for freestyle drawing or writing .
34 T ouch to mak e a straight line . Now , choose the line thick- ness for y our “ pencil” tool. T ouch the screen with the st ylus. Now , drag the stylus on the screen and stop . Look – a str aight line! Hint: Make y our own shapes or create your o wn connect-the-dots.
35 Shape Maker Pixter ® ,P i x t e r ® Plus, Pixter ® 2.0 T ouch to mak e shapes. Now , choose the shape: - T riangle - Circle - S quare/rectangle - M ake your own shape! T ouch the screen and drag the stylus to make small or large shapes. Hint: T o make a triangle , touch the screen and drag the stylus to mak e the base of the triangle.
36 Stamp It! Pixter ® ,P i x t e r ® Plus, Pixter ® 2.0 T ouch for stamper ar t. T ouch the arrows on the bottom of the screen with the stylus to see each of the stamper designs.
37 Eraser Pixter ® ,P i x t e r ® Plus, Pixter ® 2.0 T ouch to mak e your stylus an eraser . Now , choose the line thick- ness for y our eraser . Use y our stylus to erase any par t of what ’ s on the screen.
38 F ull Screen Erase Pixter ® ,P i x t e r ® Plus, Pixter ® 2.0 T ouch to choose an animated full screen erase with cool sound eff ects. Choose one of the options and watch and listen as y our drawing disappears . Hint: After using the full screen er ase, you’ re still in the same activit y using the same tool.
39 Special Effects S elec tor Pixter ® Plus, Pixter ® 2.0 T ouch to choose a special effect. Rotate it, mirror it or swit ch from white t o black or black to white .
40 Switch fr om white to black or black to white; rotate it, mirror it, fill in a selected drawing area or write a caption. White to Black/Black to White/Mirror T o ol T ouch the screen with the stylus and watch the special effect. Special Effects S elec tor Pixter ® Plus, Pixter ® 2.
41 T o fill in a selec ted drawing ar ea, selec t the area. W atch the selected area fill in. T yping T ool T o create your own caption, touch each letter of each word with the stylus. T ouch the bottom of the screen with the stylus. Y ou’ re back to your creation.
42 Sav e I t! (and Adjust the V olume) Pixter ® ,P i x t e r ® Plus T ouch to sav e or retrieve y our dra wing; or adjust the volume (at an y time). T ouch IN file to sa ve; touch OUT file to retriev e; touch V olume Control to increase or decrease v olume to a comf or table level.
43 Sa ve It or Send It (Add a Subject Line to your message and Adjust the V olume too) Pixter ® 2.0 T ouch this tool to sav e or retriev e your dra wing , send a message , add a subject line to your message or adjust the volume .
44 T ouch the IN file to sa ve; touch the OUT of file t o retrieve; touch the volume c ontrol to increase or decr ease sound to a comf or table level. Hints: - Y ou can sav e one picture or game at a time! Each time you save a picture or game , it replaces the one already there .
T o send a score or pic ture , make sure the receiv er (the other Pixter ® 2.0 unit) is at least one foot but no more than fiv e feet awa y and signal domes are aligned! T ouch the on the screen. T o receive a message touch the nodding y es face on the scr een.
T o create a subjec t line for messages , touch each letter of each w ord with the stylus. When y ou are finished , touch the screen. Y our subject line is automatically stor ed .
47 Home Pixter ® ,P i x t e r ® Plus, Pixter ® 2.0 T ouch to go back to the Home Screen. Choose an ac tivity or game: Designer ’ s W orkshop , Hide-and-Seek, Shelf Shopper , Playtime P rogrammer , Star ter Scenes , and Copycat Challenge .
48 IMPORT ANT! The mark made on y our screen from the stylus and the location of the tip of the stylus may not align. When this happens, you need to calibr ate the stylus. • T urn Pixter® power on. W ait until you see the Home Scr een. • T urn Pixter over and locat e the calibration hole .
