8 INST ALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS Location ImpORT ANT! Install the machine on a solid and le vel floor surf ace ensuring it has at least 20mm clearanc e on each side. The w asher must not be installed on any t extur ed floor co v erings (eg carpet, rugs ).
9 INST ALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS If you ha v e an uncontr olled water hea ting source ( eg a w et back or solar heating sy stem) y ou should fit a Hot ‘N’ Safe V alve.
10 INST ALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS Draining Drain hose plac ement in a stand pipe or tub 1 T o guide the drain hose ov er the tub or standpipe the hose guide must be fitt ed to the drain hose . The height of the standpipe or tub should be between 800– 1200mm.

13 BEFORE Y OU DO Y OUR FIRST W ASH Before y ou start, it is a good idea t o go through the follo wing checklist: 1 Ha ve the pack aging and transit bolts been r emov ed? 2 Is the dr ain hose threaded.
14 WH7060P and WH8060P models Sort your w ashing carefully . Separate whit e/light colours fr om dark colours. W ash new , highly colour ed and dark coloured it ems separa tely to pre v ent dye tr ansfer . Refer t o the ‘Sorting and loading’ section.

18 W ASHER CONTROLS SmartT ouch™ Control Dial The SmartT ouch™ Control Dial pro vides easy and efficient wash cy cle selection. As y ou rotat e the dial, the icon of the wash cy cle selected will be illumina ted, along with the default settings for that cy cle on the right side of the contr ol panel.
19 SAFETY FEA TURES Door lock The door of y our washer is lock ed once y ou touch until the machine beeps at the end of the cy cle, ensuring safety for y ou and y our family while y our machine is operating. T o unlock the door during the cycle Y ou can open the door to add or remo ve it ems during the wash simply b y touching the button.
20 When pr eparing your w ash load there ar e some important things to consider: Sorting Sort items acc ording t o colour , fabric type, and soil type . W ash fine, delica te fabrics separat ely from thick, hea vy f abrics. Alway s separa te colour ed items fr om whites, especially when they ar e new .
21 Before y ou load Check pockets f or items that could damage y our clothes or get caught in the w asher . Close zippers, hooks and ey es, and other fas tenings (ie fas ten the opening of duv et/ doona co v ers), and r emov e loose bra wir es.
22 Detergent type Y our washer requir es low sudsing det ergent to pr e vent o v ersudsing problems. Lo w sudsing deter gent comes in po wder , liquid or pod form and is labelled ‘Fr ont Loading’, ‘Lo w Suds’, ‘High Efficiency’ or ‘HE’.
23 How much det ergent? The corr ect deter gent dosage varies depending on the amount of soil in y our load, the size of the load and the w ater quality , so getting the corr ect dose takes some trial and error . Use the instructions stated on the deter gent package as a guide, then alt er the dosage accor ding to the r esults.

26 All wash cy cles default t o the rec ommended options for that cy cle based on the av er age expect ed load to be w ashed. Y ou can vary the options ( eg ‘W ash T emp’, ‘Spin Speed’) to cr eate y our desired cy cle.
27 W ash Boost Pre W ash For e xtra dirty loads y ou can perform a ‘Pr e W ash’. Y our washer will start the w ash with a short wash in c ool wat er to remo v e ex c ess soil. Aft er this the machine will drain and then fill at the selected t emperatur e for the main w ash.
28 W ASH CY CLE OPTIONS Add a Garment (WH7 060P and WH8060P models only) The ‘ Add a Garment’ option enables y ou to add or r emov e it ems during the wash stage of the cy cle, under certain c onditions. Once the ‘ Add a Garment’ button is t ouched, the button and time to go will flash.
29 Aft er using your w asher a fe w times you ma y disco v er there ar e some wash options y ou pref er for some cy cles. Y ou can programme y our washer t o remember the w ash options you pr efer for each wash cy cle.
30 When y ou hav e finished using y our washer Unplug the machine from the po wer sock et. Wipe ar ound the door and in the rubber gasket t o remo ve an y remaining w ater and for eign matter . T urn off the taps to pre v ent the chance of flooding should a hose burst.
31 Cleaning the pump filter The pump has a filter t o trap f oreign objects that ent er the washer along with clothing. T he pump filter can be acc essed from the fr ont of the washer . T o clean the filter: This should be cleaned out appr oxima tely once a month.
32 Cleaning the hoses Each hose has a filter in it, pr ev enting any solid c ontaminants in the wat er entering y our washing machine. Oc casionally y ou should unscre w the wat er inlet hoses where the y connect to the taps, check these f or any build up of dirt and w ash this out.
33 BEFORE Y OU CALL FOR SERVICE User warnings Y our washer is capable of diagnosing a number of its own pr oblems. It will sound a continuous series of beeps and displa y a code when it has a problem tha t you can corr ect yourself . All control panel lights will turn off and the code will be displa yed t o inform y ou what the problem is.
34 BEFORE Y OU CALL FOR SERVICE PROBLEM DISPLA YED AS WHA T TO DO Door is locked. The temper atur e in the drum is ov er 60°C ther efore it is not safe to open the door . W ait until the temper ature dr ops below 60°C. Check the wat er lev el in the drum.
35 F AUL T CODES When a continuous series of beeps is sounded, all the lights turn off on the c ontrol panel and a number appears on the display , a fault has oc curred. The w asher will automatically ent er this mode if a fault occurs. T he fault code will be displa y ed as follo wed b y a number on the digital display .
