15 IMPORTA NT: To begin movement (forw ard or backw ard) t he operat or must be in the seat, t he brake lever must be disengaged (pushed dow n) before the motio n control lev ers can b e moved in or the engin e w ill kill. W hen levers ar e cent er ed in the T- slot t he dr ive system is in the neutral position.
16 3.1.3 Track ing Adjustm ent Knob: Located under t he seat on the LH pump cont r ol link . Rotating t his knob allows fine tuning adjustm ent s so t hat the machine t r ack s straig ht with the drive levers in the f u ll f orward position. Stop machine and wait f or all moving parts t o stop.
17 Rotate the valve 1/4 tur n clock wise to shut of f f uel. Rotate t he valve 1/4 turn counter-clock wise to turn on fuel. 3.1.11 Fuel Gauge : Locat ed on t he left f uel tank . 19 3.4 TRA NSPORTING 3.4.1 Transporting a Unit : Use a heavy-duty trailer or t r uck to tr anspor t t he machine. Lock brak e and block wheels. Securely f ast en t he m achine to the tr ailer or t ruck with straps, chains, cable, or r opes. Be sur e that the t r ailer or truck has all necessary lighting and mark ing as requir ed by law .
20 WA RNING POTENT IAL HAZARD ♦ Loading a unit on a t r ailer or truck increases the possibility of backward tip- over. W HAT CAN HAPPEN ♦ Backward tip-over of the unit could cause serious injury or death. HOW TO AVO ID T HE HAZARD ♦ Use extreme caution when operating a unit on a ramp.

W HAT CAN HAPPEN ♦ Failure to use all original components and assembled as shown could allow a blade or blade component to be thrown out from under the deck resulting in serious personal injury or death.
25 IMPORTA NT: It i s essent ial that operat or safety mechanisms be connected and in proper operating condit i on pri or to use for mow ing. 4.1.7 Check rollover protections systems ( r oll bar) pins Servic e Interval: Daily a) Make sure latch pin and hair pin ar e f ully installed and lanyard is in good condition.
26 225°F (107°C). T he “COLD” level shows the level of the oil when it is at 75°F (24°C). Fill t o t he appr opr iate level depending upon the t em perature of the oil. For example: If the oil is about 150° F ( 65° C) , fill t o half way between the “HOT” and “COLD” levels.
27 c) Lubricate f ront cast er pivots once a year. Remove hex plug and cap. T hr ead grease zerk in hole and pump with grease until it oozes out ar ound t op bearing.

Eng age parking br ak e. b) Lubricate br onze bushings on brake handle pivot with a spray type lubricant or light oil.

30 Adhesives such as “Loctite RC/609 or RC/ 680” or “Fel-Pr o Pr o- Lock Retaining I or Retaining I I ” are used on the f ollowing : a) Fuel tank studs where studs are inserted int o tank. 4.1.28 Mobil HTS grease (or f ood-g rade antisieze) is used in the f ollowing locations: a) Between the cutt er housing spindle and bearings.

35 h) Bring t he RH m otion control lever int o the neutral posit ion. Adjust RH pum p control rod leng th by rotating the double nuts on the r od in t he appr opriate direction until t he wheels slightly creep in reverse (See Fig ur e 9) .
36 5. WA STE DISPOSAL 5.1 M OTOR OIL DISPOSA L Engine oil and hydraulic oil are both pollut ant s to the environment . Dispose of used oil at a certif ied recycling center or according t o your st at e and local r eg ulations.
37 b) Be sure the thr ot tle control is midway between the “SLOW ” and “FAST” positions, and the chok e is in the “O N” posit ion for a cold eng ine or the “OFF” posit ion f or a warm eng ine. c) Make sure there is f uel in the f uel tank and t hat the f uel valve is open.
