The hard disk drive default setti ng is initially set to master. The second step is to insert the key prov ided and turn the tray key to the lock position.

To begin this process, press the MENU key. Once inside the main menu you will find ther e are 17 setup option pages as follows.

EVERFOCUS ELECTRONICS CORPORATION Dwell Time: This field represents the rate at which the cameras will sequence on the main monitor. The dwell time for the auto sequence can be set from 0 to 99 seconds. To change this, simply use the Jog Dial on the DVR.

Depending on how your c onnections are set up and the num ber of cameras you are using, you will need to connect the data cables to Pins 3 and 6 on an y of the 2 RS-485 ports.

Please Note: When the Hard Drive is full, the DVR will either stop recording automatically or overwrite fr om the beginning of the hard drive. EVERFOCUS ELECTRONICS CORPORATION Please Note: Our recorders are deve loped for segment recording. One segment or motion event can record to one sector on the hard drive. Hard drives contain on average 2 56 sectors. Therefore recording on motion only you will see the Record Light going on and off you are not recording properly in motion.

Log into the DVR menu by pressing the Menu button. ¾ Once You Reach the Record Setting Menu (See Page 25) change the Recording speed and quality that best fits your application.

You are now ready to copy an image or video from the DVR. This chapter will show you how to copy a still image or movie from the recorder.

The gateway address is used to uniquely identify a host or computer on the LAN which assigns the IP addresses to your n etwork.

Public Port - The port number on the WAN (Wid e Area Network) side that will be used to access the virtual service.
