16 XONE:464 User G uide Connecting the Mono Channel 4 IN INSERT 4 DIR OUT 4 MIC 4 +48V INPUT The input provides both an XLR and a TRS jack connector. The XLR is normalled throu gh the jack connec tor. This m eans that plugging in a j ack overrides the XLR sour ce.

Channels 5,6,9,and 10 provide RIAA equalisation for m agnetic cartr idges to connect up to 4 turnta bles (rec ord deck s).

22 XONE:464 User G uide S tereo Input Channel A UXILI ARY SENDS This section is positio ned at the t op of the s tereo channel t o be out of the way of the live perf ormance controls. The controls route the s tereo cha nnel si gnal to the AUX 1 to 6 mix.
XONE:464 User G uide 23 EQUALISER The EQ on a DJ m ixer provides a very d ifferent function to that on an y other m ixing c onsole. As mos t m usic sour ces are pre-rec orded corrective EQ as f ound on the m icrophone chann els is not require d. Instead, the EQ is used b y the DJ to creativel y shape the sound during live perform ance.
24 XONE:464 User G uide Crossfader The crossf ader is the one feature that instant ly sets the DJ m ixer apart from a conventional m ixer. It is applied to the stereo (m usic) c hannels a nd lets you smoothly f ade from one track into another usi ng a single fader.
XONE:464 User G uide 25 Replacing the Crossfader The c rossfader on a DJ m ixer is hea vily use d and can suffer considerable wear and tear. T he audio design using VCAs prevents clicks and s cratchines s as the fader wears.
26 XONE:464 User G uide VCF Filters The XONE:464 is unique in being t he f irst DJ mixer to include an anal ogue voltage contro lled filter (V CF) sec tion. These f ilters provide live per form ance tools far m ore po werful than a ny eq ualiser or kill s witch.
XONE:464 User G uide 27 FILTER TY PE SELECT T he f ilters are ‘state variable’. This means that they provide three sim ultaneous filter types, high-pass, band-pass and low-pass.

XONE:464 User G uide 29 Master Mix The XONE:464 provides t wo inde pendent stereo m ix outp uts, M ix1 and Mix2. T he m ono c hannels c an b e route d to either or both outputs. The stereo channels route to Mix1 onl y, ei ther direct or through the cross fader.

Two system s are provided , he adphones an d local m onitor. The local monitor t ypically feeds th e DJ boot h speak er system .
