Operating Instructions 10 Contr ol Panel Pr ogramme selector The progr amme selector is used to select the wash cycle (for example, water level, drum movement, number of rinses, spin speed) and the water tem- peratur e according to the type of washing.
Operating Instructions 11 EASY -CARES Main wash cycle for easy-care fabric s (mixed fibr es) at 40 °C or 60 °C. EASY IRON position: main wash cycle at 40°C for easy-care fabrics which, after washing with this progr amme, r equire only light ironing or no ironing at all.
Operating Instructions 12 STAIN For heavily soil ed or stained washin g. In-wash stain tr eatment products are washed in at the optimum ti me as the progr amme progr esses. Can only be selected with wash temperatur es of 40 °C and above, as stain treatment pr oducts are only effective at higher temper atur es.

The next time a progr amme is started the solution container will be closed and the ECO valve can function correctly .

Operating Instructions 26 Cleaning the dr ain pump P aper clips, nails and so on can sometimes get into the washing ma- chine with th e washing and remain in the dr ain pump casing. Fluff and strands of fabric can gather on these items and block the drain pump.

Operating Instructions 28 What to do if ... T rouble Shooting Try t o rectify minor faults on the washing machine with the aid of the instructions given her e. If you call out an engineer to r esolve a fault listed her e, or to repair a fault caused by incorr ect use or installation, a charge will be made even if th e appliance is under guarantee.
Operating Instructions 29 The washing ma- chine vibrates when operating, or is noisy . Tr ansit packaging was not re- moved. Remove the transit packa ging as described in the Install ation and Connection instructio ns. The machine is not level. Adjust the feet according to the Installation and Connec- tion instructions.
Operating Instructions 30 Washing is h eavily crea sed. Proba bly too much washing has been put in the drum. P ay attention to the maximum load quantity (see Pr ogramme Tables). In the case of easy- care fabrics, select the EASY IRON progr amme. Was h in g i s no t thorou ghly spun, water remains vis i- ble in the d rum.
Operating Instructions 31 Remnants of deter- gent ar e building up in the detergent drawer . The water tap is not fully opened. Open the water tap fully . The inlet hose filter in the in coupling of the inlet hose at the tap is blocked. Close the wa ter tap.
Operating Instructions 32 If the washing r esults are not satisfactory If the washing turns greyish and limescale deposits are pr esent in the drum • Insufficient detergent has been added. • Incorrect deter gent was used. • Stains were not pr e-treated.
Operating Instructions 33 Carrying out an emer gency emptying • If the washing machine no longer pumps out the water , emergency emptying must be carried out. • If the washing machine is located in a room in which below fr eezing temperatur es might occur , emergenc y emptying must be carried out.

Installation and connection instructions 44 Inlet Hose Connection A pressur e hose of 1.35m in length is supplied. If a longer inflow hose is requir ed, only a VDE-approved, complete set of hoses with fitted hose scr ew co nnections is permissible, available from AEG Service For ce Centres.
