4 Oper ating Instructions 1 Safety Prior to using for the first time • Follow the ”Instructions for install ation and connect ion” . Corr ect use • The dishwasher is only intended for washing domestic dishes. • Additions or modifications to the dishwasher ar e not permitted.

6 The ON/OFF button is used to turn the dishwasher on and off. The Pr ogramme buttons are used to select the desir ed dishwashing cy- cle. Function buttons : In addition to the pre-set dishwashing cycle, the following functions can also be set using these buttons: The rinse aid inflow is only affected , if the 3in1 function is selected.
7 The multi-display can indicate: – the level of har dness to which the water softener is set. – whether the rinse aid inflow ha s been activated/deactivated. – whether the acoustic signal ha s been activated/deactivated. – the start delay that has been s et.
8 Prior to using for the first time 3 If you wish to use 3 in 1 detergent: – F i rs t rea d t he s e ct i o n “U s i ng 3 i n 1 d e t erg e n ts ” . – Do not fill up with special salt or rinse aid. If you do not use 3in1 detergent, befor e using for the first time 1.
9 2. Press function buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously and keep them pressed. The LED indicators for functi on buttons 1 to 3 will flash. 3. Press function button 1 . The LED indicator for function butt on 1 will flash. The multi-display will indicate the har dness setting.
10 Adding special salt To decalcify the water soft ener , it mu st be filled up with special salt. Use only special salt suitable for domestic dishwashers. If you do not use 3 in1 detergent, fill up with special salt: – Before usin g the dishwasher for the first ti me.
11 Filling up with rinse aid With rinse aid the rinsing water drains away better and so you get smear-free, gleaming di shes and clear glasses. If you do not use 3in1 detergent, fill up with rinse aid: – Before usin g the dishwasher for the first ti me.
12 Setting the amount of rinse aid r equired 3 Only change the amount dispensed, if smears, milky spots (reduce the amount) or dried on water spots (inc rease the amount) can be seen on glasses and dishes. (See section “If di shwashing results are not satisfac- tory” .
13 Activating rinse a id inflow when 3in1 function is se- lected 3 If the 3in1 function is not selected, the rinse aid inflow is always acti- vated. If the 3in1 function is selected du e to the use of 3in1 detergent, the rinse aid inflow is deacti vated.
14 Activating/deactivating the acoustic signal In addition to the optical display (e .g. indicating the end of the cycle, error s) you can also choose to set an acoustic signal.
15 In daily use Loading cutlery and dishes 1 Sponges, cleaning cloths and any ot her objects that ca n absorb water must not be washed in the dishwash er . Plastic and Teflon-coated dishes and pans tend to r etain water droplet s. These dishes an d pans therefor e do not dry as well as those made of china and stainless steel.
16 Loading cutlery 1 War n i n g : Sharp knives and other items of cutlery with sharp edges must be laid in the cutlery r ack or in the upper basket to avoid the risk of injury .
17 Loading / Unloading lower basket and upper basket To load and unload, pull out or push in the upper and lower baskets in the middle using the handle on the front of the basket. Po t s, Pa n s, L a rg e P l a t e s Load larger and heavily soiled dishes and pans in the lower basket.
18 Cups , Glasses, Coffee Service Load smaller , fragile cr ockery and long, sharp cutlery in the upper bas- ket. • Arrange items of cr ockery on and under the folding cup r acks so that they ar e offset from each other and water can reach all items.
19 • The row of spikes on the left of the upper basket is also in two parts and can be folded away . Spikes not folded away: place glasses, mugs etc. in the upper basket. Spikes folded away: More room for serving dishes. Adjusting the height of the upper basket 3 The height of the baskets can also be adjusted when they are loaded.
20 Adding deter gent De t e rge n t s re m o v e t h e di r t fr om dishes and cutlery . The detergent must be added befor e the cycle starts. 1 Only use deter gent intended for do- mestic dishwashers. The detergent compartment is lo- cated on the inside of the door .
21 Concentr ated detergents Today’ s deter gents for dishwasher s are almost exclusively low-alkaline concentrated deter gents with natu r al enzymes in tablet or powder form.
22 Using 3in1 deter gents These products ar e deter gents with a combined cleaning, rinsing and salt function. When the 3in1 functi on is activated, – the addition of special salt and rins e aid fr om the r espective dispenser is prevented. – If the salt and rinse aid dispensers are empty , this is not indicated.

24 Selecting a pr ogramme When your dishes look like this, select: an intensive progr amme. a normal or energy-saving pr o- gramme. a short progr amme (e.
25 Starting a dishwashing cycle 1. Check that the spray arms can turn fr eely . 2. Turn the water tap on fully . 3. Close the door . 4. Press the ON/OFF button. 5. Select the desired cycle. The cycle indicator and the r espective cycle stages in the cycle progr ess display will be illuminated.
26 Setting the Delay Timer 3 With the delay timer you can delay t he start of a dishwa shing cycle for between 1 and 19 hours. 1. Press the Delay Timer button r epeat edly until the mu lti-display sh ows the desired time delay , for example 12h , if the cycle is to start in 12 hours.
27 Removing the dishes 3 It is normal for the inner door and the dispensers to be damp. • Empty the lower basket first, then the upper basket. This way you avoid dripping water from the upper basket onto dishes in the lower basket. • The dishwasher's interior light will always be on when the door of the appliance is open.
28 3. Grasp the gr ip hole on the fine filter (1) and remove it fr om the micro-fil- ter (2). 4. Clean all filters thor oughly under running water . 5. Remove the flat filter (3) fr om the base of the washing compartment and clean both surfaces thor oughly .
29 Upper bask et spray arm 1. To r emove upper basket spr ay arm, tilt it down hard. 2. Clean spray arms jets. 3. Place cleaned upper basket spray arm back in position against the connect- ing piece: press the two together firmly , until you feel them snap into place.
30 What to do if... Remedying small malfunctions If the acousti c signal is activate d, warning tones sound if there ar e faults. If one of the following fault codes is displayed in the multi-display .
31 2 short warning tones , continuously repeated, can be heard, the cycle indic ator for the selected dishwashing cycle is flashing, fault code Å2 0 is dis- played in the multi-d is- play . (Problems with wat er outflow) The sink outlet is b locked. Clean out si nk outlet.
32 Rust spots are visible in the dishwashing compart- ment. The dishwashing compart- ment is made from rust- free stainless steel. Rust spots in the dishwashing compartment are due to rust particles from external sources (rus t particles from water pipes, pans, cutlery , etc.
33 If the dishwashing r esults are not satisfactory The dishes are still dirty . • The wrong dishwashing cycle was selected. • The dishes were loaded is such a way that the dishwashing water did not reach all items. The baskets for the dishes must not be overload- ed.
34 Disposal 2 Packaging material The packaging materials are envir onmentally friendly and can be r ecy- cled. The plastic components are id entified by markings, e.g. >PE<, >PS<, etc. Please dispose of the pa ckaging materials in the appropriate container at the community waste disposal facilities.

38 Installation and connection instructions 1 Safety information for the installation • Only tr ansport the dishwasher in an upright position, otherwise salt water may run out. • Before using th e dishwasher for the first ti me, check for any damage caused in transport.
39 Installing the dishwasher • The dishwasher must be installed on a firm floor and adjusted to en- sure that it is stable and level in all dir ections. • To compensate for unevenness in the floor and to match the height of the appliance to that of sur- rounding units, extend the thr ead- ed feet using a screwdriver .
40 Connecting the dishwasher Connecting to the water supply • The dishwasher can be connected to cold and hot water supplies up to max. 60°C. • The dishwasher must not be connect ed to open hot water appliances or instantaneous water heater s.
41 W ater drainage Drain hose 1 The drain hose must not be kinked, crushed or entangled. • Connecting the dr ain hose: maximum permitted height above the bottom edge of the appliance: 60 cm. 42 Electrical connection Details about the voltage, type of supply and the fuses requir ed are to be found on the rating plate. The r a ting plate is located on the right- hand inner edge of the dishwasher door . To isolate the dishwasher from th e mains, pull out the mains plug.
