1. SAFETY INFORMATION Before the installation and us e of the appliance, carefully read the supplied instructio ns. The manufacturer is not responsible if an incorrect in stallation and use causes in- juries and damages. Always keep t he instructions with the appliance for future reference.
• If the supply cord is damage d, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance complies with the E.E.C. Directives. Water connection • Make sure not to cause damage to the water hoses. • The appliance is to be conn ected to the water mains using the new supplied hose-sets. Old hose sets must not be reused.

The consumption data shown on this chart is to be considered purely indicative, as it may vary depending on the quantity and type of laundry, on the inlet water temperature and on the ambient temperature. 7. OPTIONS 7.1 Temperature Set this option to change the default tem- perature.

Press or to decrease or increase the programme duration. The Time Manager is available only with the programmes in the table.
7.10 Permanent extra rinse With this option you can permanently have an extra rinse when you set a new programme. • To activate/deactivate this option press and at the same time until the indicator comes on/goes off . 7.11 Acoustic signals The acoustic signals operate whe n: • The programme is completed.
9.2 Using detergent and additives • Measure out the deter gent and the fa b- ric conditioner. • Carefully close the dete rgent drawer. Detergent compartment for prewash phase. Detergent compartmen t for washing phase. Compartment for liquid additive s (fabric conditioner, starch).
• Position A for powder detergent (factory setting). • Position B for liquid detergent. When you use the liquid detergent: – Do not use gelatinous or thick liquid detergents. – Do not put more liquid then the maximum level. – Do not set the prewa sh phase.
9.8 Cancelling a programme 1. Press the button for some sec- onds to cancel the progr amme and to deactivate the ap pliance. 2. Press the same button again to acti- vate the appliance. Now, you ca n set a new washing programme. The appliance does not drain the water.
10. DAILY USE - DRYING WARNING! Open the water tap. Put the drain hose in the sink or connect to the drain pipe. • Press for some seconds to activate the appliance. • Load the laundr y one item at a time. • Turn the programme dial to the pr o- gramme applicable for the items to dry.
11. DAILY USE - WASHING & DRYING 11.1 NON-STOP programme • Press the button for some seconds to activate the appliance. • Load the laundr y, one item a time. • Put the detergent and the additives in the appropriate compartment. • Turn the programme dial to the wash- ing programme.
• After the drying phase, clean the empty drum, the gasket an d the door with a wet cloth. To remove the fluff inside the drum, set a special programme: • Empty the drum. • Clean the drum, the gasket and the door with a wet cloth. • Set the rinse programme.
12.5 Water hardness If the water hardness in your area is high or moderate, we recommend that you us e a water sof tener for washing machines. In areas where the water hardness is soft it is not necessary to use a water softener. To know the water hardness in your area, contact your loca l water author ity.
13.1 External cleaning Clean the applianc e only with soap and warm water. Fully dry all the surfaces. CAUTION! Do not use alcohol, solvents or chemical products. 13.2 Descaling If the water hardness in your area is high or moderate, we recommend that you us e a water sof tener for washing machines.

13.7 Cleaning the inlet hose and the valve filter 1. 1 2 3 2. 3. 4. 45° 20° 13.8 Emergency drain Because of a malfunction, the appliance cannot drain the wate r. If this occurs, do steps (1) through (9) of 'Cleaning the drain filter'. If necessary, cl ean the pump.
14. TROUBLESHOOTING The start of the appliance doe s not occur or it stops during operation. First try to find a solution to the problem (refer to the table). If not, contact the serv- ice centre. With some problems, the acous tic signals operate and the display shows an alarm code: • - The appliance does not fill with water.
Problem Possible solution Set the drain programme if yo u set an option which ends with water in the tub. The spin phase does not operate or the washing cycle lasts longer than usually. Set the spin program me. Make sure that the drain filt er is not clogged.
Problem Possible solution The laundry is full of different colours fluff. Set a drying cycle to remove some fluff. Clean the laundry with a fluff remover. There is a big quantity of fluff in the drum . Repeat this procedure again and again: • Clean the empty drum, the ga sket and the door with a wet cloth.
16. ENVIRONMENT CONCERNS Recycle the materials with the symbol . Put the packaging in applicable containers to recycle it. Help protect the environment and huma n health and to recycle waste of electrica l and electronic appliances. Do not di spose appliances marked with the symbol with the household waste.
