4 Safety PREVENT FIRE • Do not dry items that have been previously cleaned in, soaked in, or spotted with gasoline, cleaning solvents, kerosene, waxes, etc. Do not store these items on or near the dryer . These substances give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
5 Safety PREVENT INJUR Y • T o prevent shock hazard and assur e stability during operation, the dryer must be installed and electrically grounded by a qualifi ed service person in accordance with local codes. Installa- tion instructions are packed in the dryer for the installer’ s refer ence.

7 Operating Instructions Normal Operating Sounds B C D F E A Y ou may or may not hear the following sounds from your new dryer: A. WA TER V AL VE The fl ow of water is controlled by electric solenoids. During operation there may be a clicking sound as the valve opens and closes to control the water fl ow .

10 Operating Instructions Cycle Selection T ur n the cycle selector in either direction to the cycle desired. The icon for that cycle will be illumi- nated. Press on the cycle selector knob to extend it or return it fl ush to the console. T o change the cycle once it has begun, press the cancel button before selecting a new cycle.
11 Operating Instructions NORMAL Select this cycle to dry everyday fabrics including cottons, linens and sheets. TOWELS Select this cycle to dry heavy loads such as towels and non-rubber -backed bath mats. MIXED LOAD Select this cycle to dry loads containing a mix of fabrics.
12 Operating Instructions Cycle Selection SPECIAL TY CYCLES T o access you dryer’ s specialty cycles : • T urn the cycle selector knob to favorites/spe- cialty . • Press the button under the LCD corresponding to specialty cycles . • Rotate the cycle selector knob to scroll thr ough the list available specialty cycles to choose from.
13 Operating Instructions MY F A VORITES T o select one of your 3 favorite cycles: • T urn the cycle selector knob to favorites/spe- cialty . • Press the button under the LCD corresponding to my favorites to display the favorites cycles. • Press the button corresponding to the favorite cycle desired.
14 Operating Instructions If more than one user has been enter ed in CUSTOM MODE : • The current user’ s name will be displayed when the washer is turned on if CUSTOM MODE is on. • Press the button under OK to continue using that user’ s favorite cycles.
15 Operating Instructions The appropriate drying temperatur e will auto- matically be indicated for the cycle selected. Drying T emperature NOTE T o change the temperature once the cycle has begun, press the pause button, make the new selection and press start again.
16 Operating Instructions The appropriate dryness level will automatically be indicated when the cycle is selected. T o change the preset level, pr ess the dryness level button to scroll to the degr ee of dryness desired. T o protect your fabrics, not all dryness levels ar e available with every cycle.

T o select or clear the add steam , wrinkle r elease , extended tumble , delicate heat , perfect tumble , sanitize , shrink guard and damp alert options , press the options buttons until the desir ed option is displayed.
18 Operating Instructions Cycle Options WRINKLE RELEASE The wrinkle release option helps pr event wrinkles and tangling by alternately tumbling the load with- out heat for 5 minutes in a clockwise direction, then 5 minutes in a counterclockwise dir ection, for a total of 45 minutes.
19 Operating Instructions LINE DR Y Select this option to simulate hanging your laundry in a summer breeze combined with the wrinkle-r e- leasing benefi ts of tumble action. Since drying times are calculated with the dryer’ s automatic moisture sensors and heat is radically reduced or eliminated, cycle time will be lengthened.

25 Operating User Interface Featur es Setting Pr eferences INST ALL CYCLE Run the INST ALL CYCLE before operating the dryer the fi rst time. Remove all items from the dryer drum and press start . 26 Operating User Interface Featur es Setting Pr eferences BRIGHTNESS Press the button beneath the plus (+) or minus (-) symbols to increase or decr ease the brightness of the display . Press select to accept the change or press the button under EXIT to r etur n to normal operation without any changes.
27 Car e & Cleaning W ARNING FIRE HAZARD A clothes dryer produces combustible lint. The dryer must be connected to an outdoors exhaust. Regularly inspect the outdoor exhaust opening and remove any accumulation of lint around the opening and in the surr ounding area.
