TRACT OR REQUIREMENTS The tractor used to operate the mower must ha ve the power capacity to lif t, pull, and operate the Power T ake Off (PT O) at the mower ’s rated speed while traveling at a ground speed between 2 a nd 5 MPH.

OPERA TION 3.3 Drawbar The tractor dr awbar must be positioned at a certain length based on the oper ating speed of the mowe r to ensure proper dr iveline operation. 540 RPM mowers require the drawbar length measured from shaft en d to hitch pin hole to be positioned at 14 ”.

The tractor must be equip ped to operate at 540 RPM PTO speed and the drawba r length at 14”. 2. Using the parking ja ck, position the tongue clevis to the height of the tractor drawbar .

With the tractor sh ut down and secured in position, mo ve the hydr aulic remote valve lever back and for the seve ral times or place the hydraulic lever in the float position to relieve all hydraulic pressure.

OPERA TION 8.2 Constant V elocity (CV) Driveline For mowers equipped with a Constant V elocity (CV) dr iveline, the maximum turning angle b etween the tractor and mower must be determined to ensure the jo int angle does not over-extend which can cause CV joint damage.

OPERA TION Do not turn so sharp or lif t mo wer so high to produce a severe "knocking" of the Driveline which will cause accelerated wear and breakage of drive train components and could result in possible injury from the separated Driveline sections.

OPERA TION 9.1 T racto r Pre-Operation Inspection/Service Refer to the tr actor operator ’s ma nual to ensure a complete pre-operation inspection and scheduled service is performed accordi ng to the manufacturers recommenda tions.

DISCONNECTING THE MOWER FROM THE TRACTOR Before disconnecting the mower , the PTO must be disengaged and all motion at a complete stop. Move the mower to a level storage location and lower the center section and both win gs to the ground.
