Operating Instructions 10 Contr ol panel Pr ogram selector The progr am selector defines the nature of the washing cycle (e.g. water level, drum movement, number of rinses, spin speed) to suit the type of washing, as well as the washing solution. OFF Switches the washing machine off, the machine is switched on at all other positions.
Operating Instructions 11 EASY -CARES Main washing cycle for easy-care textiles (mixed fabrics) at 40 °C to 60 °C. EASY IRON position: Main washing cycle at 40 °C for easy-car e fabrics which, with the aid of this progr am, only requir e a gentle iron, if any ironing at all.
Operating Instructions 12 Pr ogram option buttons The progr am options buttons are used to adapt the washing progr am to suit the degree of soiling of the washing. Progr am options are not requir ed for normally soiled wa shing. The different functions can be combined together depending on the progr am.

They pr ovide a useful guide for operation in the home. What does UPDA TE mean? The control system of your machine is fully electronic.

P our about 1 litre of water thr ough the detergent dispenser drawer into the washing machine. The next time a progr am is started the solu- tion container will be closed and the OKO valve can function correctly .

Operating Instructions 17 Running a washing cycle Brief instructions A washing cycle consists of the following steps: 0 1. Set the correct washing pr ogram: – Select the progr am and temperatur e with the program selector . – Select any progr am options if requir ed.
Operating Instructions 18 Setting the Washing Pr ogr am 3 See "Progr am tables" for a suitable pr ogram, corr ect temperatur e and possible progr am options to suit the type of washing. 0 1. Set the progr am selector to the desired washing pr ogram with the desired temper ature.

Operating Instructions 21 Starting the Washing Pr ogr am 0 1. Check that the water tap is open. 2. Start the washing progr am: Press ST ART / PAUSE button. The washing progr am will start. 3 If the DOOR and MAIN WASH displa ys flash red after you press the ST ART/PAUSE button, then the door has not been closed properly .
Operating Instructions 22 Change the washing pr ogram Changing or stopping the wash progra m 0 1. Pr ess the START / P AUSE button. 2. Turn the program selector to OFF . The washing progr am is stopped. 3. If requir ed, set a new washing progr am. Otherwise, turn the progr am selector to PUMP OUT and pr ess the START / PAUSE button.
Operating Instructions 23 W ashing cycle is complete/Removing the washing. Once the washing program has come to an end, END illuminates on the progr am progr ess display . If RINSE HOLD was selected, the display beside the START/ PAUSE button flashes.

Do not use househol d furniture polish or abrasive cleaner s to clean panel and operating parts. 0 Wipe over the operating panels with a damp cloth. Use warm water . Deter gent Dispenser Drawer The detergent dispenser dr awer should be cleaned from time to time.

Set the deter gent dispensing drawer into the guide tr acks and push it in. Wa sh i n g Ma c h i n e D ru m The washing machine dru m is made from rust-fr ee stainless steel.
Operating Instructions 28 Cleaning the dr ain pump P aper clips, nails and so on can sometimes get into the washing machine with the washing and r emain in the drain pump casing. Fluff and strands of fabric can gather on these items and block the dr ain pump.
Operating Instructions 29 What to do if ... T rouble Shooting Tr y to rectify minor faults on the washing machine with the aid of the instructions given here. If you call out an engineer to r esolve a fault listed here, or to r epair a fault caused by incorrect use or installation, a charge will be made even if the appliance is under guarantee.
Operating Instructions 30 The washing machine vibrates durin g opera- tion or is un stable. The height-adj ustable screw feet are wrongly positioned . Adjust the feet accor ding to installation and connection instructions. There is very l ittle washing in the drum (e.
Operating Instructions 31 Washing is heavily creased. Proba bly too much washing was put in the drum. Follow instructions for the maximum load quantity (see Prog ram Tables). Fo r easy- care fabrics select the EASY IRON prog ram. Washing has not been spun properly .

Operating Instructions 33 If the washing r esults are not satisfactory If the washing turns greyish and limescale deposits are pr esent in the drum • Insufficient detergent has been added. • Incorrect deter gent was used. • Stains were not pre-tr eated.
Operating Instructions 34 Carrying out an emer gency emptying • If the washing machine no longer pumps out the water , emergency emptying must be carried out. • If the washing machine is located in a room in which below fr eezing temperatur es might occur , emergency emptying must be carried o ut.

Replace the emergency emptying hose in its holder . 8. Put on the flap and close. Additional Rinse (RINSE+) The washing machine is set for very economical water consumption.
