OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS Safety instructions The safety of AEG electrical appliances conforms to accepted rules of technology and the Appliance Safety Act. We as manufactur ers, however , see ourselves as being obliged to familiarise you with the following safety instructions.
● P ackaging parts may be dangerous for childr en, who could even be suffocated! Y ou should therefor e keep all packaging well away from childr en. ● The water in your dishwasher is not for drinking. Detergent r esidues may still be present in your machine.
Disposal Dispose of the dishwasher packaging material correctly . All packaging materials can be recycled. Plastic parts are marked with standar d international abbreviations: >PE< for polyethylene, e.g. sheet wrapping material. >PS< for polystyr ene, e.

Operating instructions 8 Function buttons: in addition to the selection of the washing progr amme and the delay start option, the following functions can also be set with the help of these buttons: - .
Operating instructions 9 Indicator lights: have the following meanings: "3 in 1" function This appliance is equipped with the 3 in 1 function , that allows the use of the "3 in 1" combi detergent tablets. This function can be selected with all washing progr ammes.
Activation/deactivation of the 3 in 1 function (The dishwasher must be switched off) 1. Press the On/Off button. The indicator lights of the pr ogramme selection buttons will illuminate (setting mode). If only one pr ogr amme selection button indicator light is illuminated this means that a washing pr ogr amme is set.
Operating instructions 11 NOTE: if the drying r esults are not satisfactory it is possible to activate only the rinse aid dispenser . The activation/deactivation of the rinse aid dispenser can only be possible with the 3 in 1 function active.
Operating instructions 12 Audible signals Audible signals have been introduced to help indicate which operations the dishwasher is performing: - setting of the water softener - end of progr amme - int.
Operating instructions 13 Prior to using for the first time Before using your dishwasher for the fir st time: 1. Ensure that the electrical and water connections comply with the installation instructions 2. Remove all packaging from inside the appliance 3.
Operating instructions 14 a) Setting manually 1. Open the dishwasher door . 2. Remove the lower basket from the dishwasher . 3. Turn the water har dness dial to position 1 or 2 (see table). 4. Replace the lower basket. The dishwasher is factory set at position 2.
Operating instructions 15 3. Press function button 1 , the indicator lights of function buttons 2 , 3 and 4 turn off while the indicator light of the button 1 goes on flashing, the digital display indicates the current level and a sequence of intermittent audible signals are hear d.
Operating instructions 16 Filling with dishwasher salt Only use salt specifically designed for use in dishwashers. All other types of salt not specifically designed for use in a dishwasher , especially table salt, will damage the water softener . Only fill with salt just before starting one of the complete washing progr ammes.
Operating instructions 17 Rinse aid Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing, and spot and str eak free drying. The dispenser , which is positioned inside the door , holds about 1 1 0 ml of rinse aid, which is sufficient for 16 - 40 dishwashing progr ammes, depending upon the dosage setting.
Operating instructions 18 Adjusting the dose According to the finish and drying r esults obtained, adjust the dose of rinse aid by means of the 6 position selector (position 1 minimum dosage, position 6 maximum dosage). The dose is factory set in position 4.
Operating instructions 19 In daily use • Check if it’s necessary to r efill with dishwasher salt or rinse aid. • Load cutlery and dishes into the dishwasher . • Fill with dishwasher detergent. • Select a wash programme suitable for the cutlery and dishes.
Operating instructions 20 For washing in the di shwas her the following cutlery/dishes are not suitable: • Cutlery with wooden, horn, china or mother-of-pearl handles • Plastic items that are not .
Operating instructions 21 Open the door and slide out the baskets to load the dishes. The lower basket The lower basket is designed to take saucepans, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery etc. Serving dishes and large lids should be arr anged around the edge of the basket, ensuring that the spray arms can turn fr eely .
Operating instructions 22 The cutlery basket Long bladed knives stored in an upright position ar e a potential hazard. Long and/or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket. Take car e when loading or unloading sharp items such as knives.
Operating instructions 23 The upper basket The upper basket is designed for plates (dessert plates, saucers, dinner plates of up to 26 cm in diameter), salad bowls, cups and glasses. Arrange items on and underneath the cup r acks so that water can reach all surfaces.
In case that plates are loaded in the upper basket: load them starting fr om the r e a r positions of the basket; tilting them slightly forwar ds and avoiding the fr ont positions near the door . Before closing the door , ensure that the spr ay arms can rotate freely .
Operating instructions 25 Adjusting the height of the upper basket If washing very large plates you can load them in the lower basket after moving the upper basket to the higher position. To move to the higher position pr oceed as follows: 1. Pull out the basket until it stops.
Operating instructions 26 Use of deter gent Only use detergents specifically designed for use in dishwashers . We r ecommend the use of Finish detergents .
Operating instructions 27 Differ ent kinds of deter gent Deter gent tablets Detergent tablets of differ ent brands dissolve at differ ent speeds. For this reason some deter gent tablets cannot dissolve and develop their full cleaning power during short progr ammes.
Operating instructions 28 Use of "3 in 1" combi deter gents General advice These products ar e detergents with integr ated and combined detergent/rinse-aid and salt functions.
Operating instructions 29 W ashing progr ammes (1) Ideal for washing crockery and cutlery of br eakfast and dinner ( fresh soil ). This is the perfect daily progr amme, made to meet the needs of a family of 4 persons who only wish to load breakfast and dinner cr ockery and cutlery .
Operating instructions 30 Starting a washing pr ogr amme In this fully integrated appliance the contr ols are located on the top of the door . When selecting a programme, the door needs to be open. 1. Check that the baskets have been loaded corr ectly and that the spray arms can r otate fr eely 2.
Operating instructions 31 NOTE: The start of the pr ogramme or the countdown of the delay start will occur only after the closure of the door , until this moment it is possible to modify the set made. NOTE: Once the washing pr ogramme has started, a point-shaped optical signal appears on the floor beneath the dishwasher’ s door .
Operating instructions 32 7. End of the washing progr amme The dishwasher will automatically stop and an audible signal informs you of the end of the washing progr amme. When the washing progr amme has ended, the optical signal on the floor beneath the dishwasher’s door will turn off.
Operating instructions 33 Maintenance and cleaning Clean the external surfaces of the machine and control panel with a damp soft cloth. If necessary use only neutral deter gents. Never use abrasive pr oducts, scouring pads or solvent (acetone, trichloroethylene etc.
Operating instructions 34 4. Take hold of the coar se filter ( A ) by the handle with the hole and remove fr om the microfilter ( B ). 5. Clean all filters thor oughly under running water . 6. Remove the flat filter ( C ) from the base of the washing compartment and clean both faces thoroughly .
Operating instructions 35 Pr olonged periods of non-operation If you are not using the machine for any period of time you ar e advised to: 1. Unplug the appliance and then turn off the water . 2. Leave the door ajar to prevent the formation of any unpleasant smells.

Operating instructions 38 ...the wash r esults are not satisfactory The dishes are not clean ● The wrong washing pr ogramme has been selected. ● The dishes were arr anged in such a way as to stop water reaching all parts of the surface. The baskets must not be overloaded.
Service 39 If after all these checks, the problem per sists, contact your local Service Force Centr e, quoting the model (Mod.), product number (PNC) and serial number (S.N.). This information can be found on the rating plate located on the side of the dishwasher door (see picture).

Installation instructions 44 Installation instructions Any electrical and/or plumbing work requir ed to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician and/or plumber or competent person. Remove all packaging before positioning the machine.
Installation instructions 45 W ater supply connections This dishwasher must be plumbed into a cold water supply . For making the connection itself, the coupling nut fitted to the machine’s supply hose is designed to scr ew onto a 3/4" inch gas thread spout.
Installation instructions 46 W ater inlet hose with safety valve After connecting the double-walled water inlet hose, the safety valve is next to the tap. Therefor e the water inlet hose is only under pressur e while the water is running. If the water inlet hose starts to leak during this operation, the safety valve cuts off the running water .
Installation instructions 47 W ater outlet hose connection The end of the drain hose can be connected in the following ways: 1. To the sink outlet spigot, securing it to the under side of the work surface. This will prevent waste water fr om the sink running into the machine.
Installation instructions 48 Electrical connection This appliance must be earthed. The manufacturer declines any r esponsibility should this safety measure not be observed. If the plug that is fitted to your appliance is not suitable for the socket, it must be cut off and the appropriate plug fitted.
Installation instructions 49 The plug moulded onto the lead incorporates a 13amp BSI362 fuse. Only ASTA or BSI fuses should be used. The plug must not be used if the fuse cover/carrier is lost. The cover/carrier is indicated by the coloured insert at the base of the plug.
