OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS Safety instructions The safety of AEG electrical appliances conforms to accepted rules of technology and the Appliance Safety Act. We as manufactur ers, however , see ourselves as being obliged to familiarise you with the following safety instructions.
● P ackaging parts may be dangerous for childr en, who could even be suffocated! Y ou should therefor e keep all packaging well away from childr en. ● The water in your dishwasher is not for drinking. Detergent r esidues may still be present in your machine.
Disposal Dispose of the dishwasher packaging material correctly . All packaging materials can be recycled. Plastic parts are marked with standar d international abbreviations: >PE< for polyethylene, e.g. sheet wrapping material. >PS< for polystyr ene, e.

Operating instructions 9 "3 in 1" function This appliance is equipped with the 3 in 1 function , that allows the use of the "3 in 1" combi detergent tablets.
Operating instructions 10 Activation/deactivation of the 3 in 1 function (The dishwasher must be switched off) 1. Press the On/Off button. The indicator lights of the pr ogramme selection buttons will illuminate (setting mode). If only one pr ogr amme selection button indicator light is illuminated this means that a washing pr ogr amme is set.
Operating instructions 11 NOTE: if the drying r esults are not satisfactory it is possible to activate only the rinse aid dispenser . The activation/deactivation of the rinse aid dispenser can only be possible with the 3 in 1 function active.
Operating instructions 12 Prior to using for the first time Before using your dishwasher for the fir st time: 1. Ensure that the electrical and water connections comply with the installation instructions 2. Remove all packaging from inside the appliance 3.
Operating instructions 13 a) Setting manually 1. Open the dishwasher door . 2. Remove the lower basket from the dishwasher . 3. Turn the water har dness dial to position 1 or 2 (see table). 4. Replace the lower basket. The dishwasher is factory set at position 2.
Operating instructions 14 b) Setting electronically (The dishwasher must be switched off) NOTE: the electr onic setting of the water softener is possible ONL Y with the 3 in 1 function deactivated. The dishwasher is factory set at level 5. 1. Press the On/Off button.
Operating instructions 15 Filling with dishwasher salt Only use salt specifically designed for use in dishwashers. All other types of salt not specifically designed for use in a dishwasher , especially table salt, will damage the water softener . Only fill with salt just before starting one of the complete washing progr ammes.
Operating instructions 16 Rinse aid Rinse aid is automatically added during the last rinse, ensuring thorough rinsing, and spot and str eak free drying. The dispenser , which is positioned inside the door , holds about 1 1 0 ml of rinse aid, which is sufficient for 16 - 40 dishwashing progr ammes, depending upon the dosage setting.
Operating instructions 17 Adjusting the dose According to the finish and drying r esults obtained, adjust the dose of rinse aid by means of the 6 position selector (position 1 minimum dosage, position 6 maximum dosage). The dose is factory set in position 4.
Operating instructions 18 In daily use • Check if it’s necessary to r efill with dishwasher salt or rinse aid. • Load cutlery and dishes into the dishwasher . • Fill with dishwasher detergent. • Select a wash programme suitable for the cutlery and dishes.
Operating instructions 19 Open the door and slide out the baskets to load the dishes. The lower basket The lower basket is designed to take saucepans, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery etc. Serving dishes and large lids should be arr anged around the edge of the basket, ensuring that the spray arms can turn fr eely .
Operating instructions 20 The cutlery basket Long bladed knives stored in an upright position ar e a potential hazard. Long and/or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket. Take car e when loading or unloading sharp items such as knives.
Operating instructions 21 The upper basket The upper basket is designed for plates (dessert plates, saucers, dinner plates of up to 24 cm in diameter), salad bowls, cups and glasses. Arrange items on and underneath the cup r acks so that water can reach all surfaces.
Operating instructions 22 Adjusting the height of the upper basket If washing very large plates you can load them in the lower basket after moving the upper basket to the higher position. To move to the higher position pr oceed as follows: 1. Move the front runner stops (A) of the upper basket outwar ds and slide the basket out.
Operating instructions 23 Use of deter gent Only use detergents specifically designed for use in dishwashers . We r ecommend the use of Finish detergents .
Operating instructions 24 Differ ent kinds of deter gent Deter gent tablets Detergent tablets fr om different manufactur es dissolve at different rates. For this r eason, some detergent tablets do not attain their full cleaning power during short washing progr ammes.
Operating instructions 25 Use of "3 in 1" combi deter gents These products ar e detergents with a combined cleaning, rinsing and salt function. 1. Check whether these detergents ar e suitable for your water hardness. Follow the manufactur ers instructions.
Operating instructions 26 W ashing progr ammes (1) Ideal for washing crockery and cutlery of br eakfast and dinner ( fresh soil ). This is the perfect daily progr amme, made to meet the needs of a family of 4 persons who only wish to load breakfast and dinner cr ockery and cutlery .
"AUTOMA TIC" washing progr amme During the "AUTOMA TIC" washing progr amme the amount of soil on the dishes is determined by how cloudy the water is.
Operating instructions 28 Starting a washing pr ogr amme 1. Check that the baskets have been loaded corr ectly and that the spray arms can r otate fr eely 2. Turn on the water tap 3. Close the dishwasher door 4. Press the On/Off button The indicator lights of the progr amme selection buttons illuminate.
Operating instructions 29 Note: With the delay start function set, the progr amme in progr ess indicator light is off. Once the countdown of the delay start has elapsed, the washing progr amme will start automatically and the progr amme in progr ess indicator light will illuminate.
Operating instructions 30 7. Cancelling the “delay start” It is possible to cancel a countdown in progr ess or before it starts, simply pressing the delay start button until the indicator lights corresponding to delay start hour s (3h, 6h or 9h) turn off.
Operating instructions 31 Maintenance and cleaning Clean the external surfaces of the machine and control panel with a damp soft cloth. If necessary use only neutral deter gents. Never use abrasive pr oducts, scouring pads or solvent (acetone, trichloroethylene etc.
Operating instructions 32 4. Take hold of the coar se filter ( A ) by the handle with the hole and remove fr om the microfilter ( B ). 5. Clean all filters thor oughly under running water . 6. Remove the flat filter ( C ) from the base of the washing compartment and clean both faces thoroughly .
Operating instructions 33 Pr olonged periods of non-operation If you are not using the machine for any period of time you ar e advised to: 1. Unplug the appliance and then turn off the water . 2. Leave the door ajar to prevent the formation of any unpleasant smells.

35 Operating instructions ...ther e are pr oblems when operating the dishwasher The progr amme does not start Use a different br and of detergent. The whistling is not a cause for concern. The dishwasher door has not been properly closed. Close the door .
Operating instructions 36 ...the wash r esults are not satisfactory The dishes are not clean ● The wrong washing pr ogramme has been selected. ● The dishes were arr anged in such a way as to stop water reaching all parts of the surface. The baskets must not be overloaded.

Installation instructions 44 W ater supply connections This dishwasher must be plumbed into a cold water supply . For making the connection itself, the coupling nut fitted to the machine’s supply hose is designed to scr ew onto a 3/4" inch gas thread spout.
Installation instructions 45 W ater inlet hose with safety valve After connecting the double-walled water inlet hose, the safety valve is next to the tap. Therefor e the water inlet hose is only under pressur e while the water is running. If the water inlet hose starts to leak during this operation, the safety valve cuts off the running water .
Installation instructions 46 W ater outlet hose connection The end of the drain hose can be connected in the following ways: 1. To the sink outlet spigot, securing it to the under side of the work surface. This will prevent waste water fr om the sink running into the machine.
Installation instructions 47 Electrical connection This appliance must be earthed. The manufacturer declines any r esponsibility should this safety measure not be observed. If the plug that is fitted to your appliance is not suitable for the socket, it must be cut off and the appropriate plug fitted.
Installation instructions 48 The plug moulded onto the lead incorporates a 13amp BSI362 fuse. Only ASTA or BSI fuses should be used. The plug must not be used if the fuse cover/carrier is lost. The cover/carrier is indicated by the coloured insert at the base of the plug.
