Always remember that when perfor ming the following operations: – selecting a wa shing programme, – setting the water softener, – activating/deactivating the rinse aid, the appliance MUST be in setting mode. If a programme button light is illuminated, the last performed or selected pro - gramme is still set.
The higher the content of these minerals an d salts, the harder your water is. Water hardness is measured in equivale nt scales , Clarke degrees, Fren ch degrees (°TH ) and mmol/l (millimol per li tre - international unit for the hardness of water). The softener should be adju sted according to the h ard ness of the water in your area.
Setting electronically The dishwasher is factory set at level 5. 1. Press the On/Off button. The dishwa sher must be in setting mode. 2. Press simultaneou sly and keep pressed buttons B and C , until the lights of buttons A , B and C start flashing. 3.
3. Using the funnel provided, pour in the salt until the container is full. 4. Replac e the cap ma king sure t hat there is no trace of salt on the screw thread or on the gasket. 5. Replace the cap tightly turning it clockwise until it stops with a click.

To make it easier to load larger dishes, all rear plate racks in the lower basket can be folded down. The cutlery basket WARNING! Long bladed knives stored in an upright position are a potential hazard. Long and/ or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket.

The baskets must not be over loaded. • The spray arms do not rotate freely due to incorrect arrangement of the load.
Hints for test institutes Testing in accordance with EN 60704 must be carried out with appliance fully loaded and using the test prog ramme (see "Washing programmes").
