English 16 2. CABLE CONNECTION Selecting the Active Input The Input signal selection button on the control panel can be used to select either Sign al 1 or Signal 2 as the active inpu t at any time. Every time the bu tton is pressed, the input changes.

English 22 4. ADJUSTMENT NO TE • If the user’ s operating system ha s no ut ility disk (e.g. OS/2), we recommend setting the desktop pattern to that as shown in the diagr am on the f ollowing page. 3. Adjust by using <Screen> menu in the ScreenManager .
English 4. ADJUSTMENT 23 (3) The screen positi on is not incorrect. → Use the <Position> adjustment. The correct displayed position of the mo nitor is decided because the number and the position of the pixels are fixed. The <Position > adjustment moves the image to the correct position.
English 24 4. ADJUSTMENT 4. Adjust the output signal range (D ynamic Range) of the signal. → Use the <Range Adjustment> (p. 49). This controls the level of output signal range to display the whole color gradation (256 colors).
English 4. ADJUSTMENT 25 4-2. Displaying a Lo w Resolutions The lower resolutions are enlarged to full scr een automatically . Using the <Screen Size> function in the <Others> menu enables to change the screen size. 1. Change the screen size when displaying a low resolution.
English 26 4. ADJUSTMENT 2. Smooth the blurred texts of the enlarged screen. → Switch the <Smoothing> setting. Select the suitabl e level from 1 – 5 (Sof t – Sharp). Select <Smoothing> in the <Screen> menu and adjust by using the right and left buttons.
English 4. ADJUSTMENT 27 4-3. Color Adjustment The <ColorManagemen t> menu in the ScreenMa nager enabl es to change the color of the screen. By using the <Color Mode>, the adjus tment mode can be selected from <Custom mode> (to adjust the color settings according to your preference) and <sRGB> mode.
English 28 4. ADJUSTMENT T o set the color temperature (p. 49) → Set the <T emperature>. The <T emperature> can be set from 4,000 K to 10,000 K, in 500 K increments (including 9,300 K). NO TE • Do your pa r t to conser ve energy , tur n off the monitor when y ou are finished using it. Disconnecting the monitor from the po wer supply is recommended to sa ve energy completely .
English 30 4. ADJUSTMENT T o set the power save with ScreenSaver (EIZO MPMS) software [Procedure] (1) Set the PC’ s appropriate ScreenSaver se ttings or blank the screen (totally black screen). (2) Select <EIZO DPMS> in the <PowerManager> menu.

A ctiveShot Function When two PCs are connected to the moni tor , ActiveShot (Picture in Picture) function allows you to display both screen images on the Main window and Sub window at the same time.

English 5. ActiveShot Function 33 T o set the Contrast → Select <W indow Contrast>. This controls the brightness for the each color (red, blue and green) at the same time. Select <Wind ow Contrast> and adjust b y using the right and left butto ns.

English 36 6. ActiveRotation Fun ction Using the ScreenManager (1) Select “Portrait (HW)” in the <Orientation> menu of the ScreenManager . (2) T urn the monitor 90 degrees. (3) Restart the PC. (If the Start button of the Windows is hidden, pres s the [Win dows] key or [Ctrl], [Alt] and [Delet e] keys at the same time.
