Pressin g for on e second disarms th e system an d unlocks the doors (if conn ected). The horn will h onk twi ce (if connected) an d the parkin g lights will flash twi ce to confirm disarmin g of th e sys- tem.

11 © 2000 Directed Electr onics , Inc . This feature allows you to r emotely start and run your vehi cle f or a progr ammable period o f tim e . This makes it possible to warm up the en gine , as well as adjust th e interi or temperature o f the vehi- cle with the clim ate control system.

NOTE: If th e brak e pedal is pr essed before the k ey is in th e ON position, the en gine will sh ut down.

The en gine may be allowed to run f or its pr e-progr ammed time period , or it can be shut down while runnin g d uring Tim er Mode operati on by pressing Button s and again. In either case , the vehi cle will restart every three h ours f or a total of six oper a- tion cycles .
15 This feature allows your system's r emote start unit to be tem- porarily disabled to pr event the vehi cle fr om being r emote started accid entally . This featur e is useful if th e vehicle is bein g serviced or stored in an en closed area. T o disable the r em ote start, move the sh utdown toggle switch to the OFF positi on.
