38 Using Y our Projector Using the Interactive Pen 1 Replaceable nib P ress the nib to draw or write. When the nib is engaged, it works like left clicking your mouse to draw or write. NOTE: • If the ni b is engaged, th e P e n will switch to Draw mode and the button function will be dis abled.
Using Y our Projector 39 NOTE: OSD warning messages - low battery • The Low Batter y warning message pops up when the battery voltage is lower than 2V . At this condition, the pen can still work about 1~2 hours. • The pen will be disabled when the battery voltage is lower than 1.
40 Using Y our Projector Using the Wrist Strap Please use the wrist strap as a safety precau tion in the case of loss of grip on the Interactive P en, and prevent damag e to the Interactive P en, surrounding objects, or injury to other people. 1 F eed the cord on the wrist strap through the connector bar .

Using Y our Projector 45 Using the On-Screen Display • The projector has a multi-language On-Scr een Display (OSD) Menu that can be displayed with or without an input source. • P r ess the Menu button on the control panel or the remote control to enter the Main Menu.
46 Using Y our Projector INPUT SELECT The Input Select menu allows you to select your projector ’s input source. A UTO S OURCE — Select Off (the default) to lock the current input signal. If you press the Source button when the Aut o Source mode is set to Off , you can manually select the input signal.

48 Using Y our Projector V IDEO MODE — Allows you to optimize th e display image: P resentation , Brigh t , Movie , sRGB (provides more accurate color r epresentation), and Custom (set your preferr ed settings).
Using Y our Projector 49 T INT — P r ess to increase the amount of gr een in the image and to incr ease the amount of red in the image (available for NTSC only). A DVANCED — P r ess to activate Pict ur e A dv an ce Menu. See "PICTURE AD V ANCED" below .
50 Using Y our Projector DISPLA Y (in PC Mode) Using the Dis play menu, you can adjust the display settings of your projector . The Pictur e menu provides the following opt ions: A SPECT R ATIO — Allows you to select the aspect ratio to adjust how the image appears.
Using Y our Projector 51 F REQUENCY — Allows you to change the display data clock fr equency to match the frequency of your computer gra phics card. If you see a vertical flick ering wave, use Fr e q u e n c y control to minimize the bars. This is a coarse adjustment.
52 Using Y our Projector DISPLA Y (in Vide o Mode) Using the Dis play menu, you can adjust the display settings of your projector . The Pictur e menu provides the following opt ions: A SPECT R ATIO — Allows you to select the aspect ratio to adjust how the image appears.
Using Y our Projector 53 LAMP The Lamp menu provides the following options: L AMP H OUR — Displays the operating hours since the last lamp timer r eset. L AMP H OUR R ESET — Select Ye s to reset the lamp timer . SET UP The Set Up menu allows you to adjust settings for Language, Pr ojector Mode, V .
54 Using Y our Projector L ANGUAGE — Allows you to set the language for the O SD. P ress to activate the Language menu. P ROJECTOR M ODE — Allows you to select the projector mode, dependin g upon how the projector is mounted. • F ront P rojection-Desktop — This is the default option.

56 Using Y our Projector WIRELESS / NETWORK The W ireless / Network menu allows you to con figure the network connection settings. DHCP ADDRES S— If a DHCP server e xists in the ne twork to which the projector is connected, the IP addr ess will automatically be acquir ed when you select DHCP On .
Using Y our Projector 57 3 After the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway and DNS is set up, select Store and press the button to stor e the settings. 4 If you select exit wit hout storing the settings, the system will retai n the previous set tings. W IRELESS — Default is Connect .
58 Using Y our Projector OTHERS The Others menu allows you to change settin gs for Menu, Scr een, Audio , P ower , Security , Closed Caption (for NTSC only), and Interactive. Using Y our Projector 59 S CREEN S ETTINGS — Select and pr ess to activate screen settings. The scr een settings menu consists of the following options: C APTURE S CREEN — Select a nd press to ca pture the screen display , the following message appears on th e screen.

The pow er settings menu consists of the following options: P OWER S AVING — Select Off to disable P ower Saving mode. By default, the projector is set to enter power saving mo de after 120 minutes of no activity .
Using Y our Projector 61 P ASSWORD — When P assword P rotect is enabled, a P assword Protect scr een reque sting you to enter a password will be displayed when the power plug is inserted into the electrical outlet and the power for the projector is first turned on.
62 Using Y our Projector 2 If you have enter ed an incorr ec t passwor d, you will be given another 2 chances. After the thr ee invalid attempts, the projector will automatically turn off. NOTE: If you forget your password, contact DELL™ or a qualified service personnel.
Using Y our Projector 63 C HANGE P ASSWORD — Key in the original passwor d, then enter the new password and confirm the new passwor d again. C LOSED C APTION — Select On to enable close caption and activate the closed caption menu. Select an appropriate cl osed captions option: CC1, CC2, CC3, and CC4.

Using Y our Projector 65 • Draw — In Draw mode, the pointer can move fr eely for drawing. This mode is best for drawing or writing on the screen. • Stable — In Stable mode, press and hold the Left button of the interactive pen to limit the pointer to vertical or horizontal moves.
66 Using Y our Projector • Open Windows Explorer (Cmd+E) — Set the function as opening the W indows Explor er . • Middle Mouse — Set the function as the scroll wheel of the mouse. • Double Click — Set the function as double-clicking. • Disable — Disable the F unction button.

Y ou can also invoke the Te s t P a t t e r n 1 by pressing and holding down and b uttons on the control panel simultaneously for 2 seconds.
