2 Setting Up the Monitor Preparing the Stand NOTE: The stand is attached when the monitor i s shipped from the factory. a. Place the monitor on a soft cloth or cushion. b. Pull the monitor stand arm upwards clear of the monitor. c. Place the m o nitor upright.

Connecting the USB cable After you have completed connecting th e DV I/VGA/HDMI cable, follow the procedures below to connect the USB cable to the computer and complete your monitor setup: 1. Connect the upstream USB port (cable suppl ied) to an appr op riate USB port on your computer .
Removing the Monitor Stand NOTE: To prevent scratches on the LCD scr een while removing the stand, ensure that the monitor is placed on a soft, clean surface. NOTE: This is applicable for a monitor with a stand. When any other stand is bought, please refer to the respective stan d setup guide for the set-up instructions.
4. Mount the monitor on the wall by following the instructions that comes with the wall mounting kit. NOTE: For use only with UL-l isted wall mount bracket with minimum weight /load bearing capacity of 5 .

3 Operating the Monitor Power On the Monitor Press the button to turn on the monitor. Using the Side Panel Controls Use the control buttons on the side of the mo nitor to adjust the characteristics of the image being displayed. As you use these butto ns to adjust the controls, an OSD shows the numeric values of the characteristics as they change.

Using the On- Screen Display (OSD) Menu Accessing the Menu System NOTE: If you change the settings and then eit her proceed to another menu or exit the OSD menu, the monitor automatically saves those changes. The changes are also saved if you change the settings an d then wait for the OSD menu to disappear.
Main Menu for digital (HDMI) input NOTE: Auto Adjust is only available when you use the analog (VGA) connector. 2. Press the and buttons to move betw een the setting options. Auto Adjust Even though your computer recogniz es your monitor on startup, the Auto Adjustment function optimizes the display settings for use with your particular setup.
Color Use Color Settings to adjust the color setting mode. Settings Input Colo r Allows you to set the video input mode to: Format RGB : Select this option if y our monito r is connected to a computer or DVD player using th e VGA and DVI cable.
Preset Modes When you select Preset Modes , you can choose Standard , Multimedia , Movie, Game , Te x t , Wa rm , C ool or Custom Color from the list. •S t a n d a r d : Loads the monitor's def ault color settings. This is the default pr eset mode.
Saturation This fe ature can adjust the color saturation of the video image. Use or to adjust the saturation from '0' to '100'. Press to increase the monoch rome appearance of the video image. Press to increase the color ful appearance of the video imag e.
Pixel Clock The Phase and Pixel Clock adjustments allow you to adjust your monitor to your preference . Use or to adjust for best image quality. Phase If satisfactory results a r e not obtained using t he Phase adjustment, use the Pixel Clo ck (coarse) adjustment and th en use Phase (fine) , again.
Menu Select this optio n to change the menu transpar ency by pressing the T ransparency and buttons (Mi nimum: 0 ~ Maximum: 10 0). Menu T imer OSD Hold T ime : sets the length of time the OSD will remain active after the last time you pressed a butt on.
LCD Helps reduce minor cases of imag e retention. Depending on the Conditioning degree of image ret ention, the program may take some time to run. Y ou can enable this feature by selecting Enable . Factory Reset Reset all OSD settings to the factory preset values.
OSD Warning Messages When the Energy Smart or Dynamic Contrast feature is enabled (in these prese t modes: Game or Movie ), the manual brightness adjustment is disabled.
When the monitor enters the Power Save mode, the following message appears: Activate the computer and wak e up the monitor to gain access to the Using the On- Screen Display (OSD) Menu .
