Hardware Description 51 PowerConnect M8024 Front Panel The P owerConnect M 8024 front pa nel supports up to eigh t 10-gigabit ports. It has two 10-gigab it bays that can su pport SFP+, CX -4, or 10GBase- T modules. The SFP+ Module supports 4 ports, the CX -4 module supports 3 ports, and the 10GBase- T module supports 2 ports.
52 Hardware Description PowerConnect M6220 Front Panel The P owerConnect M62 20 front pane l provides four 10/ 100/1000 B ase- T RJ-45 ports. The front panel has two 10-gig abit bays that can support S tacking, CX -4 , SFP+, XFP , or 10G Base- T modules.
Hardware Description 53 Console (RS -232) Port The console (RS-232) port is used on ly for management through a serial interface. This port provi des a dire ct connection to the switch and is used to acce ss the CLI from a console terminal connected to an EIA/TIA- 232 port.
54 Hardware Description Stacking PowerConnect M6348 Stacking Y ou can stack up to 12 P owerConnect M6348, sup porting up to 576 1-GB p orts. Create a s tack by connecting adjacent units using the stacking ports on the bottom of the switch pa nel. See F igure 4-5.
