Troubleshooting 23 Power Problems If the power light is off — The computer is either turned off or is not receiving po wer . • Reseat the power cable into both the power connector on the comput er and the electrical outlet. • Ensure that the electrical outlet is working by testing it with another device, such as a lamp.

Use System Restore as the first solution for restoring your operating system and preser ving data files.
