I ts aggressive imaging perfor- mance and intuitive operation reduces user training and speeds checkout for better customer service.
Getting Started 1-2 Magellan ® 1400i Connecting the Scanner The scanner kit you order ed to match your interface should provide a compatible cable for your installation. U se the appropriate instructions below to connect the scanner to the terminal, PC or other host device.

Product Reference Guide 4-1 Chapter 4 Data Editing Data Editing Overview When a bar code is scanned, additional information can be sent to the host computer along with the bar code data. This combination of bar code data and supplementary user-defined data is called a “ message string.
