Oven T imer Operation 9 The oven timer off ers you the following f eatures: 1. Time of Day 2. A utomatic Cooking 3. Minute Minder The Main Oven (only) can be controlled by the automa tic timer .
10 Know Y our Timer CL OCKF ACE The timer incorporates a 24 hour clock. Ensure the correct time of day is alw ays set , before using your cooker . SYMBOLS A ‘bell’ symbol will light up when you select a Minute Minder Period and will remain lit for the period set.
Elec tronic C lock and Automa tic Oven Timer Oper ation 11 SETTING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all ov en controls are turned Off. Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 When swit ched on the display will show 0.00 and the Auto symbol , flashing intermittently .
Elec tronic C lock and Automa tic Oven Timer Oper ation 12 Step 3 P ress and hold in the Cook P eriod button. The display will read 0.00 with the ‘ cookpot ’ symbol lit. Step 4 With the C ook Period button still held in, set the required C oo k Period using the “+” and “–” buttons.
Elec tronic C lock and Automa tic Oven Timer Oper ation 13 Step 4 P ress & hold in the Cook P eriod button, the display will read 0.00 and the ‘ cookpot’ symbol will light up. With the Cook P eriod button still held in set the required Cook P eriod using the “+” and “–” buttons.
Elec tronic C lock and Automa tic Oven Timer Oper ation 14 O THER NOTES ON TIMER OPERA TION 1. When cooking Automatically the Cook P eriod can be checked at an y time simply by pressing the C ook Period button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime by simply pr essing the End Time button.
The grill pan handle is detachable from the pan, to facilitate cleaning and st orage. The grill pan handle can be fixed as f ollows: Step 1 Remove the screw and washers from the grill pan bracket (a). Step 2 T ilt the handle ov er the recess (b). Step 3 Slide it towards the centre of the pan (c).
CAUTION - A C CESSIBLE P ARTS MA Y BECOME HO T WHEN THE GRILL IS IN USE. CHILDREN SHOULD BE KEPT A W A Y . GRILLING SHOULD NEVER BE UNDERT AKEN WITH T HE GRILL/T OP OVEN DOOR CL OSED .
Step 1 Ensure that the timer is set to manual. Step 2 Place the rod shelf in the correct position (see Grilling Guid e). Position the grill pan on the rod shelf , centrally under the gr ill element. Lea ve the door fully open. Step 3 T urn knob (B) clock wise to select grill function setting: Set to: F or Half Grill (Left hand side only).

The top ov en should be used to cook small quantities of food . T he oven is designed so that the grill element operates at a r educed heat output, this is combined with a heating element situated underneath the floor of the ov en.
Step 1 Ensure that the timer is set t o manual. Step 2 Plac e the shelf in the correct position (see O ven T emperature C har ts). Step 3 Select the required cooking temperature (100–220˚C) using con trol (B) (see T op O ven T emperature Charts).

F an Only Setting Defrosting frozen mea t and poultry Joints of meat and whole birds should be defrosted slo wly , prefer ably in a refrigerator (allowing 5-6 hours per lb .) or at room temperature (allo wing 2-3 hours per lb.). Fr ozen meat or poultry must be completely defrosted befor e cooking in the oven.
‘S’ “ SL OW” Setting This is used for slow c ooking, keeping food warm and warming plates for short periods. Extra care should be taken when warming bone china, as it may be damaged in a hot oven. Adv antages of “SL OW” cook ing are: The oven sta ys cleaner because there is less splashing.

1. “CREDA CLEAN” OVEN LINERS ( a) How "Credaclean" works . The surfaces of the "Credaclean" oven liners are treat ed with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils. At temperatur es of 220˚C (425˚F) or above , the special sur face enables these soils to be slowly destroy ed.
2. CLEANING GRILL, T OP OVEN AND MAIN O VEN (a) Base & Rear of T op Oven and Base of Main Oven. Wipe out the oven with a damp soapy cloth. F or more stubborn stains on the base of the oven use a well soaped fine steel wool soap pad . (b) Grill Pan & Oven S helves.
4. REPLACEMENT OF THE O VEN LAMP Open the oven door and remo ve the oven shelv es. Using a thick cloth, grip the lamp lens, unscrew anti- clockwise and remove the lens. Carefully unscrew the bulb anti-clockwise. F it replacement bulb (15W 300˚C SES).
Car e and Cleaning 31 T ake particular c are not to damage the inner surface of the door inner glass that is coa ted with a heat reflective la yer . Do not use scouring pads, or abra siv e powder , which will scratch the glass . Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blows.
Electric al Requiremen ts F or your own safety , we recommend that your cooker is installed by a compet ent person such as one who is registered with NICEIC (National Inspection Council f or Electrical Installation Contracting). The cooker should be inst alled in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Regulations.
Impor tant It is essential that the lower cupboard is constructed in the manner illustrat ed i.e. having side , back, and roof panels so joined as to provide no apertures which could permit access to the oven unit when installed .
