A gentle flow of air will be blown below the c ontrol panel when the oven or grill is switched on. In some instances this will continue after switching the oven / grill off . This is not unusual. This helps to keep the contr ol panel and knobs cool. The oven ligh t is switched on automatically when the fan oven con trol (A) is operated .
Oven T imer Operation 9 The oven timer off ers you the following f eatures: 1. Time of Day 2. Automatic C ooking 3. Minute Minder The Oven can be controlled by the aut omatic timer . 1. Select foods which will take the same time to cook and requir e approximat ely the same temperature.

Elec tronic C lock and Automa tic Oven Timer Oper ation 11 SETTING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all ov en controls are turned Off. Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 When swit ched on the display will show 0.00 and Auto symbol wil l be flashing intermittently .
Elec tronic C lock and Automa tic Oven Timer Oper ation 12 Step 3 P ress and hold in the Cook P eriod button. The display will read 0.00 with the cookpot ( ) symbol lit . Step 4 With the C ook Period button still held in, set the required C oo k Period using the “+” and “–” buttons.

When cooking Automatically the Cook P eriod can be checked at an y time simply by pressing the C ook Period button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime by simply pr essing the End Time button.
Speedgrill 15 Y our cooker is not fitted with a conven tional grill. Creda have dev eloped a high speed grill which is designed to reduce your grilling times.
The grill pan handle is detachable from the pan, to facilitate cleaning and st orage. The grill pan handle can be fixed as f ollows: Step 1 Remove the screw and washers from the grill pan bracket (a). Step 2 Tilt the handle over the recess (b). Step 3 Slide it towards the centre of the pan (c).
Grilling Proc edure 17 Note: DO NO T allow young children near to the applianc e when the grill is in use as the surfaces get extremely hot. Step 1 Ensure oven timer is set t o manual. Place the rod shelf in the correct position (see Grill Chart). Locate the grill pan on the rod shelf , position centrally under the grill element.

Since a circulaire fan ov en heats up more quickly , and generall y cooks f ood at a lower temperature than a con ventional o ven, pre-heating is often unnecessary . For guides on “ pre- heating” , “ cook ing tempera tures” and “ cooking times” , see “O ven T emperature Charts” later in this book.
F an ov en operation Step 1 Ensure oven timer is set t o manual. Ensure that the ov en shelf is in the correct position. Place food c entrally on the shelf ensuring the oven door is ful ly closed . Step 2 T urn knob (A) clock wise and select the required cooking temperature .
“SL OW” setting This is used for slow c ooking, keeping food warm and warming plates for short periods. Extra care should be taken when warming bone china, as it may be damaged in a hot oven. Adv antages of “SL OW” cook ing are: The oven sta ys cleaner because there is less splashing.

1. “CREDA CLEAN” OVEN LINERS ( a) How "Credaclean" w orks. The surfaces of the "Credaclean" oven liners are treat ed with a special vitreous enamel which absorbs cooking soils. At temper atures of 220°C (425°F) or abo ve, the special sur face enables these soils t o be slowly destroyed .
2. CLEANING THE OVEN (a) Base of Main Oven. Wipe out the oven with a damp soapy cloth. F or more stubborn stains on the base of the oven use a well soaped fine steel wool soap pad .
3. C ONTROL P ANEL / TRIMS / INNER DOOR P ANEL & GLASS ( a) Contr ol Panel Regularly wipe with a clean, damp cloth and polish with a clean, dry cloth. (b) T rims It is advisable to clean the trims regularly to prevent any build up of soiling which may detract from the appearance of the cooker .
Car e and Cleaning 29 T ake particular c are not to damage the inner surface of the door inner glass that is coa ted with a heat reflective la yer . Do not use scouring pads, or abra siv e powder , which will scratch the glass . Ensure that the glass panel is not subjected to any sharp mechanical blows.

(b) An air gap of 50mm minimum must be provided at the rear of an y top or bottom cupboards or shelves f or ventilation. (c) Do not obstruct the ventilation slots provided on the ov en trim.
Any spare cable must be c oiled either behind the oven (not more than 30cm abov e the base of the oven rec ess) or pushed into the air gap below the ov en after installation.
