BATTERY BATTERY CHAPTER 4 INST ALLA TION Speak erphone 1. Six "AA" size, Nick el Metal Hydride ( Ni - MH ) recharge- able batteries are used for back–up during a pow er out- age (Fig 3). Do not speak at the same time as the other person. Also, adjust the volume contr ol and set the ring v olume to best suit your hearing needs.

9 CHAPTER 6 OPTIONAL A CCESSORIES This Accessor y switch allows y ou to place and answ er calls and contr ol ev er y function of the RC by blowing gently on its air sensor . It snaps on to either the rear of the console or the remote contr ol for the ultimate in “no-touch” acces- sor y and contr ol.

CHAPTER 7 IN CASE OF DIFFICUL TY If any pr oblem should occur during operation of y our RC , revie w the list below . Should the difficulty persist, contact AMERIPHONE or your authorized dealer bef ore sending the phone for service .
CHAPTER 7 (CONTINUED) CHANNEL SETTINGS The RC and Remote T ransmitter use radio signals to communicate with each other . For the Remote T ransmitter to activate the RC , they both ha ve to be on the same "channel." A "DIP Switch" is used for channel selection.
CHAPTER 9 REGULA T OR Y INFORMA TION 14 CHAPTER 8 MAINTENANCE T o ensur e trouble–fr ee ser vice, your RC should alwa ys be treated with care. Do not drop or subject the phone to high impact. The unit can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
If this telephone equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone compa- ny will notify y ou in advance that temporar y discontinuance of service may be r equired. But if advance notice isn’ t practical, the telephone company will notify the customer as soon as possible.
Where it can be done saf ely , reorient the receiving tele vision or radio antenna. T o the extent possible, relocate the television, radio or other receiv er with respect to the telephone equipment. (This increases the separation between the telephone equipment and the receiv er .

CHAPTER 10 W ARRANTY T o get warranty service for your RC ,y o u must pr ovide pr oof of the purchase date. Within 30 da ys of the date of pur chase , return y our RC to the place where y ou pur- chased it for immediate r eplacement.
