9 7 Pr ecautions t o be follow ed when oper ating the print er • Be e xtremely car eful not t o touch the print head or serr ated t ear bar when replacing the paper . Aft er printing, the print head can become hot and there is a danger of it burning your hand.
10 Safet y Instructions Pr ecaution • Aft er charging, do not r epeatedl y char ge it again. (W e recommend tha t after using it, y ou remov e it from the print er and stor e it, then charge it the da y befor e you use it again.
11 7 Pr ecautions when using the specialized RS-2 3 2C cable and USB cable • When connecting to the print er using a cable, ensure y ou do cross (short) the pins or contact s of any of the connect ors with the me tal parts of the cable assembly . Pr ecaution • Do not modify the char ger nor remov e its cabinet.
12 Safet y Instructions 7 Pr ecautions when using thermal paper (printing paper) When using thermal printing paper , tak e the following precautions. Thermal printing paper becomes discolor ed or degener ate s, resulting in faint printing. • Do not put print ed paper in bright light for a long period.

24 Print er Prepar ation About the P o wer Sour ce T urning the P o w er Off When you slide the po wer switch t owar ds you and hold it, the PO WER LED changes fr om st eady green t o flashing or ange. After this happens, r eleasing the pow er switch cuts off the pow er .

32 Oper ating the Print er C onnec ting with a Blue t ooth Int erface The Bluet ooth int erface is only a vailable on a Bluet ooth V ersion print er . 1 Bluet ooth is automa tically selec t ed in the factory . Ho wev er , if you print er’ s configur ation has been changed, y ou may need t o selec t it again using the int erface selec tion mode.
33 4 Set ting the Mode s T o ent er one of the set ting modes, pre ss the relev ant but ton whilst pulling the po wer switch t owar ds you: Self print mode 1 W ith paper loaded, press and hold the FEED but ton and pow er switch. After all the LED ha ve lit up, the PO WER LED changes t o flashing gr een.
