When the switch is using a DHCP s er ver -as signe d IP address or an administrator has configured a static IP addr es s, the System LED is on solid (DHCP is enabled by default).

500 Series Stackable Managed Switches 11 T IP The default stack ports on the 500X ar e X G3/S 1 and X G4/S2. If the correct mo dule is plugged into X G3/S 1 and X G4/S2, the switch should be able t o detect the co nne ction and configure the speed acc ording t o the module capability without any manual configuration.
