5 1 Safety Instructions The installation and connection of the new appliance must only be car- ried out by a registered specialist . Wher e damage occurs the warr anty will not apply if this instruction has not been adhered to.
6 Intended Use • This appliance is intended to be used for cooking, frying and baking food in the home and must not be used for any other purpose. • Only use the appliance to pr epare food.
7 2 Disposal Disposing o f packaging material All materials used can be fully r ecycled. The cardboar d container is made fr om 80% r ecycled paper . Plastics are marked as follows: • >PE< indicates polythene, as used on the outer covering and the wr appings inside.
8 Appliance Assembly Contr ol P anel The r otary switches used to operate the oven and rings can be r ead fr om above. Oven functions Rotary switch used for selectin g the requir ed oven function. T emper atur e selection Rotary switch for selecting the r equired oven temper atur e.
9 Clock Functions Y our appliance has a pr ogr ammable clock by which yo u can see the time, use the countdown timer as an "egg-timer“ or set baking and r oasting times using the automatic functions. Time The curr ent time is shown in the display window provided no other clock function has been selected.
10 Oven Featur es Shelf positions Ther e is a shelf support rail on both sides of the oven, with 5 shelf posi- tions on which to insert the acces- sories. Anti-tip device All slide-in units are fitted with an anti-tip device to pr event them be- ing pulled out of the oven uninten- tionally .
11 Oven Accessories The following parts are supplied with the oven: Combination shelf For dishes, cak e tins, items for r oasting and grilling Universal baking tray For moist cakes, r oasts or asa bak.
12 Oven Functions The oven has the following functions: H Hot air Hot air is particularly suitable for baking biscuits on 2 levels at the same time . The oven temperatur es ar e usually 20-40 °C lower than with conven- tional. T op and bottom heat are used.
13 A Defr osting Using the defr ost oven function you can partially - or completely and evenly defrost foods such as flans, butter , br ead, fruit or other delicate foods. With this function only the fan is in oper ation; ther e is no heating. P Pyroluxe The pyroluxe function is a self-cle aning system.
14 Befor e Using for the First Time Initial Cleaning Befor e using the oven for the fir st ti me you should clean it thoroughly . Y ou can switch on the oven light to make cleaning easier .
15 Set the Time 3 The oven will only operate when the time has been set. When the power supply is switched on, or after a power failure, the function indicator flashes on the clock display D . 0 1. Using bu ttons + or - set the cur- re nt t i me . 2. W ait for 5 seconds.
16 Resetting the Ti m e 0 Press button b until the function indicator flashes on the clock display D . 3. Using bu ttons + or - set the cur- re nt t i me . 4. W ait for 5 seconds. The flashing will stop and the set time will be displayed in the display window .
17 Using the Rings Also refer to the oper ating instructions for your built-in cooking unit. It contains important information on ovenware, oper ation, cleaning and care. Heat settings • Within the ra nge of settings 1-9, it is possible to select 14 he at set- tings (including intermediate positions).
18 Cooking with the Rings 0 1. Select a high heat setting to boil/fry . 2. As soon as steam appear s or the fat is hot, lower the setting to the requir ed position to continue cooking. 3. T o stop cooking, turn back to the zero position. 2 Switch the cooking zone off approx .
19 Using the Oven P ositioning the Shelf Unit an d the Universal Baking T r ay All slide-in units have a small bulge on the left and right. This bulge serves as an anti-tip device and must always point downwar ds. Inserting shelf unit 0 Insert the shelf unit with both guide r ails pointing upwards.
20 Switching the Oven On and Off 0 1. T urn the "Oven Functions“ switch to select the r equired function. 2. T urn the "Temper atur e Selection“ switch to set the requir ed tempera- ture. 3. The yellow oven power indicator will come on while the oven or rings ar e in use.
21 Using the Automatic Function 3 The r equired oven function and temper atur e can be selected before or after setting the automatic function. Y ou can select the following functions: Cook time < Using the cook time < function you can set the time for which the oven is r equired to oper ate.
22 End time > Using the end time function > you can set the oven to switch off au- tomatically . 0 1. Keep pressing the button ] until the end time function indicator > flashes. 2. Using the + or - buttons set the time at which you requir e the oven to switch off.
23 Cook time < and end time > combined 3 Cook time < and end time > can be used simultaneously if the oven is requir ed to switch on and off automatically at a later t ime . 0 1. Using the cook time function < set the time for which the dish is requi- r ed to cook.
24 Countdown At the end of the countdown ] an acoustic signal will sound. 1. K eep pressing button ] until the countdown function indicator ] flashes. 2. Using bu ttons + or - set the r e- quir ed countdown. (Max. 2 hour s and 30 minutes.) 3. W ait for 5 seconds.
25 Oven safety cut-out 3 If not switched off after a certain time, or the t emperatur e is not changed, the oven swit ches off automatically . The r ed temperatur e indicator light flashes. The oven switches off at temperatur es of: Switching on again after a safety cut-out Switch the oven o ff completely .
26 Uses , T ables and Tips Cooking The information given in the followi ng tables is for guidance. The switch setting requir ed for cooking depends on the quality of the pans and the type and quantity of food.
27 Baking For baking use the hot air H oven function or conventional O . Baking tins • When using conventional heat O coated baking tins or tins made of dark metal ar e most suitable. • For hot air H baking tins made of light metal ar e also suitable.
28 Gener al information • Always count the shelf positio ns from the bottom upwar ds. • Insert baking sheets with the bevelled edge to the fr ont! • Always place cake tins in the middle of the shelf. • Y ou can also bake with two tins at the same time using conventional O or hot air H .

31 Tips for Baking Tip To t ell if your cake is cook ed thro ugh Push a woode n skewer int o the highest point of the cake. If the skewer co mes out clean, you can switch off the oven and utilise the r esidual hea t. The cake collapses (is sticky , not pr operly cooked through , water marks) Check your recipe.

33 Fr ozen Ready Meals T able 3 When fr ozen foods are used the trays inserted may distort during cook- ing. This is because of the large di ffer ences in temperatur e between the fr ozen item and the oven. Once the trays have cooled the distortion will disappear ag ain.
34 Roasting Use the rotitherm I oven functio n or conventional O when r oasting. Ovenware for roasting • Any heat-r esistant dish is suitable for roasting.
35 Notes on the r oasting tables Information is given in the table on suitable oven functions, tempera- ture settings, cooking times and sh elf positions for various types of meat. The cooking times are only for guidance. • W e recommend tha t only meat and fish with a minimum weight of 1kg should be r oasted or baked in the oven.

38 Grilling T o grill, use oven function Z for dual grill or F for single grill with temper ature setting z . 1 Important : Always preheat the empty oven with the grill function for 5 minutes ! Ovenware for grilling • Use the shelf unit and univer sal tray together for grilling.
39 Defr osting Use the defr ost oven function for defrosting. Dishes for defrosting • Put the food on a plate and put the plate o n the shelf unit. • Use only parc hment paper or suitable cling film to cover the food. Do not cover with a plate or bowl as these considerably pr olong the de- fr osting time.
40 Pr eserving When preserving use the hot air H oven function. Preserving jars • Only use commercially available preser ving jars (pr eserving jars with a rubber ring and glass lid) for pr eserving. • Screw-top jar s, jar s with a bayonet fastening and metal containers ar e unsuitable.
41 Cleaning and Car e Exterior of the Appliance 0 Wipe the front of the appliance with a soft cloth and warm, soa py wa- ter . • Do not use scour er s, caustic cleaner s or abrasive items. • Y ou can use commer cially available cl eaning agents on stainless steel fr onts.
42 Side Support Rails The side support r ails on the left and right hand sides of the oven can be r emoved for cleaning the side walls. Removing the side support r ails 0 1. Remove screw . 2. Pull the ra il at the back away from the oven wall and pivot towar ds the fr ont (1).
43 Fitting the side support rails 1 T ake c ar e when fitting the rails that the rounded ends of the guide r ails ar e pointing forwards! 0 1. T o replace, fir st insert and fit the r ail at the front (1). 2. Pivot the r ail towr ds the back and insert (2).
44 Cleaning with Pyr oluxe 1 Warning ! The oven becomes very hot during pyro luxe self-cleaning. K eep young children well away fr om the oven. 1 Important : Before carrying out pyr oluxe cleaning the oven must be completely emptied with the exception of the shelf support rails.
45 Oven Door The oven door of your appliance may be removed for cleaning. Removing the oven door 0 1. Open the oven door completely . 2. Completely fold back the br ass- coloured clamping lever on both door hinges (1). 3. Grip the oven door with both hands on the sidesand close it by about 3/ 4 (2) past its r esistance .
46 Oven Door Glass The oven door is fitted with four glass panels mounted one behind the other . The three inner panels may be r emoved for cleaning. 1 Wa rn i n g : Carry out the following steps only.
47 Inserting the glass door panels 3 The thr ee removeable glass panels differ in size. They will only fit into the section of the door for which they are de- signed. Smallest panel - at the bottom Biggest panel - at the top 3 Ther e is printing on the biggest panel.
48 What to do if ... .... the cooking zones don't work? 0 Check whether – the appropriate cooking zone has been switched on, – the cir cuit breaker (at the household power distribution box) has tripped or the mains fuse (fuse box) has blown. .
49 If you call in customer serv ice to r e solve a problem listed in these notes, or to r ectify a problem caused by in correct oper ation of the appliance, the customer service engineer's visi t will not be free of char ge, even during the warranty period.
