7 Step 5. T o hang the fan body in the canopy , hold the fan bod y firmly and inse rt th e n ylon ball in to the can opy op enin g. Rotate fan body until slot on nylon ball fits into pin opposite canopy openin g. CANOPY BALL SLOT PIN 2 WHITE WIRES 2 BLACK WIRES 3 GREEN WIRES Step 7.
8 CANOPY COVER Step 11. T a ke the t w o p ie c es of the canopy cover and assemble th em ar ound the downr od as shown. Using the four screws rem oved in Step 10, assemble the canopy cover . Slid e the canopy cover to the ceiling and secure to the downr od using the two provi ded scr ews.
9 Ste p 13. At tach th e bla de s to th e blad e hol de rs by ali gni n g the screw holes of the hold er with the holes of the blade . Attach the blade hold er using the four blade screws and blade wash ers provi ded f or each blade . Usin g the scr ewdriver , tigh ten securely by hand only .
10 Step 15. Slid e the switch housin g cup over the threaded pipe from the switch h o u s i n g . As s u r e t h a t n o w i r e s a r e pinch ed. S e c u r e t h e c u p t o t h e fa n w i t h t h e finial.

Before attaching the bezel back on to the front of the switch, make sure that the rubber key pad is attached to the locating pins on the bezel as shown in Figure #4.

15 ® 3 OPERA TION POWER The button is normally left in the on position. Always turn the power off during cleaning or servicing the fan and during thunderstorms. It is also used to exit or enter additional programs. The butto n must be left on to retain a prev ious ly set fan speed or lig ht level .
16 ® 3 CHANGING FREQUENCY SETTING NOTE: All fans leave the factory set to “1 1 1 1” Y ou will only have to change the dip switch settings in the remote if you are using more than one fan in the same area and want to control them separately .
17 ® 3 AUT OMA TIC DEMONSTRA TION PROGRAM A multi-tone signal will verify the start of the test pro- gram which proceeds as follows: • Lights slowly increase to full intensity . • Fan accelerates to speed three with audio tones. • Light dims to half intensity .
18 ® 3 OPERA TION HOME-SAFE ® PROGRAM The Home-Safe Program makes an unoccupied home appear occupied by turning the lights on and off at random times. T o enter the Home-Safe Program: 1) T o operate the lights and fan for Home Safe Program – Press the But- ton off for a least 5 seconds.
