8 Step 3 — Locate Unit — The following guidelines should be considered when choosing a location for a WSHP: • Units are for indoor use only . • Locate in areas where ambient temperatures are between 39 F and 102 F and relative humidity is no greater than 75%.
9 5. Check refrigerant tubing for contact with other compo- nents. Adjust if necessary . 6. Reinstall top panel using screws set aside in Step 1. NOTE: Location for some screws at bottom of discharge panel may have to be changed. 7. Manually spin fan wheel to check for obstructions.
10 Each unit must be installed with its own individual vent and means to flush or blow out the condensate drain line. Do not in- stall units with a common trap or vent. VE NT IN G — Install a vent in the condensate line of any application that may allow dirt or air to collect in the line.
11 W ater Supply and Quantit y — Check water supply . W ater supply should be plentiful and of good quality . See T able 2 for water quality guidelines. In all applications, the quality of the water circulated through the heat exchanger must fall within the ranges listed in the W ater Quality Guidelines table.

24 W SH P O PE N W I RI NG — The WSHP Open controller will be factory mounted to the unit control panel and wired to the Complete C or Deluxe D control board, however , the system wiring will need to be completed utilizing WSHP Open con- troller wiring diagrams and the Third Party Integration (TPI) Guide.
25 T o wire the SPT sensor to the controller : 1. Partially cut , then bend and pull of f the outer jacket of the Rnet cable(s), being careful not to nick the inner insulation. 2. Strip about 1 / 4 in. of the inner insulation from each wire. See Fig. 26.

30 16. Air coil is clean. 17. Control field-selected settings are correct . AI R CO IL — T o obtain maximum performance, clean the air coil before starting the unit. A 10% solution of dishwasher detergent and water is recommended for both sides of the coil.
31 Boilerless Changeover T emperature — Switch 8 on S1 provides selection of boilerles s changeo ver temperature set point. Select OFF for set point of 50 F or select ON for set point of 40 F . If switch 8 is set for 50 F , then the compressor will be used for heating as long as the FP1 is above 50 F .

45 Checkin g System Charge — Units are shipped with full operating charge. If rechar ging is necessary: 1. Insert thermometer bulb in insulating rubber sleeve on liquid line near filter drier . Use a digital thermometer for all temperature measurements.
46 WSHP Open Contr oller — W ith the WSHP Open con- troller option, the 100 most recent alarms can be viewed using the BAC view 6 alarm status and alarm history . T o view the alarms: 1. Navigate to the Alarm S tatus screen from the Home screen using the arrow softkeys.
47 The bulb must be secured to the pipe using a copper strap. The use of heat transfer paste between the bulb and the pipe will also help ensure optimum performance. The bulb must also be properly insulated to eliminate any influence on valve operation by the surrounding conditions.
