– 18 – 6-4. Recharging of Refrigerant When it is necessary to recharge refr igerant, charge the specified amount of new refrigerant according to the f ollo wing steps. Recov er the refr igerant, and check no refrigerant remains in the equipment. Connect the charge hose to pac ked v alve ser vice por t at the outdoor unit’ s gas side.
– 19 – 1 Be sure to make setting so that liquid can be charged. 2 When using a cylinder equipped with a siphon, liquid can be charged without tur ning it upside down. It is necessar y f or charging refrigerant under condition of liquid because R410A is mix ed type of refrigerant.
– 20 – (2) Characteristics required f or flux • Activ ated temperature of flux coincides with the brazing temperature . • Due to a wide eff ective temper ature range, flux is hard to carbonize . • It is easy to remov e slag after brazing. • The corrosiv e action to the treated metal and brazing filler is minimum.

Freeze preventive control (Lo w temperature release) The cooling operation (including Dry operation) is perf or med as follo ws based on the detected temperature of Tc sensor or Tcj sensor . When [J] zone is detected f or T1 minutes (Follo wing figure), the commanded frequency is decreased from the real operation frequency .

Auto Restart Function The indoor unit is equipped with an automatic restar ting function which allows the unit to restar t operating with the set operating conditions in the e vent of power supply being accidentally shut do wn. The operation will resume without warning three minutes after power is restored.
– 26 – 8-9-2. How to cancel auto restart function T o cancel auto restar t function, proceed as f ollows: Repeat the setting prodedure: the unit receives the signal and beeps three times. The unit will be required to be tur ned on with the remote control after the main pow er supply is tur ned off .

– 37 – 9-7. REFRIGERANT PIPING 9-7-1. Refrigerant Piping 1. If the outdoor units are to be mounted on a wall, make sure that the platf or m suppor ting is sufficiently strong.
– 38 – CA UTION • Do not apply e xcess torque. Otherwise, the nut ma y crac k depending on the conditions. <Tightening connection> Align the centers of the connecting pipes and tighten the flare nut as f ar as possible with y our fingers. Then tighten the nut with a spanner and torque wrench as shown in the figure .
– 39 – 9-8. EV A CU A TING AIR PURGE Ev acuate the air in the connecting pipe and in the indoor unit using v acuum pump. Do not use the refrigerant in the outdoor unit.
