1. SAFETY PREC A UTIONS Installing, staring up, and servicing air-conditioning equipment can be hazardous due to system pressures, electrical components, and equipment location (roofs, elevated structures, etc.). Only trained, qualified installers and service mechanics should install, start-up, and service this equipment.

Installation/Ser vicing T ools Changes in the product and components In the case of an air conditioner using R410A, in order to pre vent an y other refr iger ant from being charged accidentally , the ser vice por t diameter of the outdoor unit control v alve (3 wa y valv e) has been changed.

– 66 – 11. HO W T O DIA GNOSE THE TR OUBLE The pulse motor circuits are mounted to both indoor and outdoor units. Theref ore, diagnose troubles according to the troub le diagnosis procedure as descr ibed below . (Ref er to the check points in servicing wr itten on the wiring diagrams attached to the indoor/outdoor units.
– 67 – CA UTION A high v oltage (equivalent to the suppl y volta g e) is also energized to ground thr ough the sensor s, PMV and other low-v oltage cir cuits. The sensor leads and other wires are covered with insulated tubes f or pr otection. Nevertheless, care must be taken to ensure that these wires are not pinched.

FILE NO. SVM- 10019 ( RAS-12LKV-UL ) Start to operate indoor unit in cooling operation at airflow level “LOW”. Turn off indoor unit and remove connector from motor. Then start to operate indoor unit with remote controller. Turn off indoor unit and remove connector from motor.
Turn off indoor unit and rotate cross-flow fan by hand when the unit is on standby. At this time, is it possible to detect DC 1V or more between 5 + and 3 – of motor connector (CN 31). Is it possible to change airflow level to “HIGH”? Is it possible to rotate cross-flow fan by hand properly? Fan motor operates normally.
– 81 – Indoor fan starts rotating when power supply is turned on. Measure voltage between 3 (GND : BLACK) and 5 (V line : YELLOW) of motor connector (CN31) while indoor fan motor is rotating. DC 1.0V or more P.C. board is defective. 6 (Blue) 5 (Yellow) 4 (White) 3 (Black) 2 – 1 (Red) Motor is defective.
