8 – English GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS Cutting attachment guar d This guard is intended to pre vent loose objects from being thrown to wards the operator . The guard also protects the operator from accidental contact with the cutting attachment. Check that the guard is undamaged and not cr ack ed.
English – 9 GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS If the muf fl er on y our machine is fi tted with a spark arrestor mesh this must be cleaned regularly . A block ed mesh will cause the engine to ov erheat and ma y lead to serious damage. Loc king nut A locking n ut is used to secure some types of cutting attachment.
10 – English ASSEMBL Y Fitting the loop handle (325Cx) • P osition the handle on the shaft. Note that the handle must be mounted below the arro w on the shaft. • Fit the screw , secur ing plate and wing nut as shown in the diagram. • Tighten the wing nut.
English – 11 ASSEMBL Y Fitting the trimmer head Fitting a trimmer guar d and Superauto II 1” trimmer head (323L, 323LD, 325Lx, 325LDx) • Fit the correct trimmer guard (A) for use with the trimmer head. Hook the guard onto the fi tting on the shaft and secure it with the bolt (L).
12 – English ASSEMBL Y Fitting the trimmer guar d and trimmer head (325Cx) Guar d • Fit the guard as shown in the diagr am. Tighten securely . T rimmer head • Fit the dust cup on the shaft. The nut must be completely cov ered by the dust cup . • Hold the dust cup with a spanner to pre vent the shaft from rotating.
English – 13 FUEL HANDLING Fuel safety Ne ver start the machine: 1 If you ha v e spilt fuel on it. Wipe off the spillage and allo w remaining fuel to e vapor ate. 2 If you ha v e spilt fuel on yourself or y our clothes, change your clothes . W ash any part of your body that has come in contact with fuel.
14 – English FUEL HANDLING Mixing • Alwa ys mix the petrol and oil in a clean container intended f or fuel. • Alwa ys star t b y fi lling half the amount of the petrol to be used. Then add the entire amount of oil. Mix (shake) the fuel mixture.

16 – English ST AR TING AND ST OPPING CA UTION! Do not pull the star ter cord all the wa y out and do not let go of the star ter handle when the cord is fully extended. This can damage the machine. CA UTION! Do not put any part of your body in marked area.

18 – English W ORKING TECHNIQ UES Grass trimming with a trimmer head T rimming • Hold the trimmer head just above the g round at an angle. It is the end of the cord that does the work. Let the cord work at its own pace. Nev er press the cord into the area to be cut.

20 – English MAINTENANCE Fine adjustment of the idle speed T Adjust the idle speed using the idle adjustment screw T , if it is necessar y to readjust. First tur n the idle adjustment screw T clockwise until the cutting attachment starts to rotate. Then turn the screw anticlockwise until the cutting attachment stops.
English – 21 MAINTENANCE Cooling system T o keep the working temperature as low as possib le the machine is equipped with a cooling system. The cooling system consists of: 1 Air intake on the starter . 2 Fins on the fl ywheel. 3 Cooling fi ns on the cylinder .
22 – English MAINTENANCE Oiling the air fi lter Alw a ys use HUSQV ARNA fi lter oil, ar t. no . 531 00 92-48. The fi lter oil contains a solvent to mak e it spread ev enly through the fi lter . Y ou should therefore a v oid skin contact. Put the fi lter in a plastic bag and pour the fi lter oil ov er it.
